What a remarkable two-year journey it has been for the 2024 Batch of the Diploma of Technology in Sports Management at Tamale Technical University. Today, we successfully completed our final examination, marking the end of a memorable academic chapter.

On behalf of my colleagues, I extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our lecturers for their dedication, guidance, and support throughout the programme. We are especially grateful to Prof. Fatawu Alhassan for his vision, commitment, and instrumental role in initiating and successfully running this programme.

The knowledge and skills acquired have equipped us to become better sports professionals and leaders within our communities and beyond. We therefore encourage sportsmen and women, as well as friends and family interested in sports development and management, to take advantage of this programme and enroll at Tamale Technical University.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our success. We are proud to be part of this pioneering journey and look forward to making a positive impact on the sports industry.

The Northern Regional Boxing Association (NRBA), the Northern Sector Boxing Association (NSBA), and the Northern Boxing Club join the people of Dagbon, the Northern Region, Ghana, and the global Dagomba community in mourning the passing of His Royal Majesty, Ya-Na Abukari II, the revered Overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom.

The late Ya-Na was a symbol of peace, wisdom, unity, humility, and visionary leadership.

Throughout his reign, he remained a father to all, promoting harmony, cultural heritage, youth development, and social progress across Dagbon and beyond.

As sporting institutions dedicated to nurturing discipline, courage, hard work, and excellence among the youth, we recognize and celebrate the immense contributions of the Ya-Na toward the advancement of society and the empowerment of future generations.

His passing is not only a great loss to the Kingdom of Dagbon but also to the entire nation of Ghana.

His legacy of servant leadership, reconciliation, dignity, and commitment to development will continue to inspire us for generations to come.
