A few weeks ago I heard the news that a great man unfortunately past away. JB was a very humble generous caring man, he often put others before himself. I had the pleasure of first meeting him in 2009, when i made a trip with 3 Ghanaian surfers to a contest in Cote D Ivoire where JB hosted us. . We became very close friends, and he made sure that i felt at home when i was ever in Cote D Ivoire. A huge figure in the community, even though JB didnt surf, he was a huge surf fan, and took the local surfers under his wing. JB left us all too early and left his wife and 2 children. Just under 3 weeks to Ghana's biggest surfing event, cerebrating International Surfing Day. June 17 - 18th, hosted at Big Milly's, Kokrobite, the Big Milly's surf cup.. So far we are looking at around 50 surfers from 15 nations competing to become this years champions. The contest will have 3 categories seniors, ladies and Juniors, and is open to all levels. During the weekend we will be cleaning the beach, live music, surfing lessons, movie screenings, beach bbqs, beach boxing's and lots more.
