About six months ago, GKF was engaged by the MEA team for an awards programme. After going through the qualification process, we now received the final communication.

We have never been driven by awards to make Kendo popular. Our focus remains the quiet work—training, developing people and building Kendo from the ground up.

So, we share this recognition with humility: these are your awards, not ours. They reflect the dedication, sacrifice and contribution/corrections from everyone who has supported this journey.

The recognition is nice, but the real reward is seeing Kendo grow. 🇬🇭⚔️🇯🇵...thank you all

When I said something good is coming, I could feel it in my bones… but I never imagined this! 🇯🇵⚔️

A call from the Japanese Embassy today led to an incredible surprise — about 15 sets of Bogu! 🙏🏽

A huge thank you to H.E. Hiroshi Yoshimoto, Ambassador of Japan to Ghana, for this generous gesture and continued support for Kendo in Ghana.

With support like this, we will develop talents who will one day proudly stand on the WKC stage representing Ghana! 🇬🇭🔥

Nungua Kendo Dojo now has an office and store room, which will also serve as the official office of the Ghana Kendo Federation! 🎉
We are excited about this milestone and grateful for these baby steps as we continue to build and grow Kendo in Ghana.
