Accra, Ghana β A new executive committee has been sworn in to lead the Ghana Skaters Association (GHASA) for the next four years. The 11-member team, comprised of experienced individuals, is headed by President Johnson Kwaku Gameli Kportufe.
The newly elected executives include:
President: Johnson Kwaku Gameli Kportufe
1st Vice President: Godfrey W. Amarteifio
Zone 1 Vice President: Reginald George Quartey
Zone 2 Vice President: Andrew Bampoe-Parry
Zone 3 Vice President: Emmanuel Lartey
Zone 4 Vice President: Eric Fordjour
Secretary General: Prosper Ashiquaye Doku
Deputy Secretary General: Nana Yaw Quansah
Treasurer: George Bamfo
Athlete Rep: Solomon Anim-Owusu
Women's Commissioner: Josephine Darkwah
The new leadership team was elected following an online election overseen by an election committee chaired by Hon. Kwadjo Baah Agyemang. Lawyer Devine Kweku Asigbetsey, who also serves as a member of the committee, administered the oath of office to the new executives.
In his inaugural speech, President Kportufe outlined his vision for GHASA, emphasizing the importance of making roller sports accessible to all Ghanaians and promoting the sport as a tool for youth development and social change.
The new executive board is committed to developing grassroots programs, improving infrastructure, enhancing coaching and training programs, strengthening partnerships, and promoting roller sports as a positive force in Ghanaian society.
