Your brain is a “pattern matching organ”
It is on automatic basis processing situations based on familiar information and programming in order to create safety.

However, this automatic processing creates a false safety because it is not based on the fact of the current reality but rather on a set of past beliefs and programming.

Questioning our thoughts and challenging them is the basis to the pattern interrupt. It is the basis to creating an ideal reality based on facts and not imagination.

This process is called “challenging your thoughts” and “thought reframing” in CBT and NLP.
The two methods I use intensively in my coaching process where there is a deep cognitive bias and set of beliefs that need to be restructured for better results and outcomes.

Life doesn’t have to be so serious all the time.
And neither do you.

You don’t always have to comply.
You don’t always have to be composed.
You don’t always have to say the right thing, look the right way, or be the version of yourself that makes everyone else comfortable.

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Show the different faces of you.

Show up real.
Show up silly.
Show up serious.
Show up sad.
Show up excited.
Show up clueless.
Show up confident.

Who decided there was only one acceptable way to be you?

We spend so much of our lives editing ourselves according to how we think we’ll be perceived.

And in doing so, we sometimes edit out the most interesting parts.

Your vulnerability doesn’t make you weak.
Your authenticity doesn’t make you “too much.”
And you don’t need everyone’s approval to take up space as yourself.

Some of our most powerful moments happen when we stop performing and simply show up as we are.

So maybe today, care a little less about how you look to everyone else…

…and a little more about how free you feel being YOU.

The part of you that snaps, defends, over-explains, blames, goes cold — she learned that somewhere. She kept you safe once.

But safe and free aren’t the same thing.

Responding isn’t about staying calm and swallowing it. It’s about the half-second where you notice the charge rising and choose what happens next. That half-second is the whole practice.

You don’t become responsive by trying harder. You become responsive by becoming aware.

You are not stuck because of your reality. You’re stuck because you’re still fighting it.
So many of us are unconsciously waiting for someone to change, for an apology, for life to go back to how it was.

That waiting has a name: living in fantasy instead of reality.

Reality isn’t the enemy. Denial is.

The moment you stop asking “why is this my reality?” and start asking “given this reality, who do I choose to become?” That’s where your power begins.

Save this. Send it to someone who needs it.
