Georgian National Dance Company "Shevardeni" In the Gori there was formed the Georgian National Dance Company "Shevardeni".The Choreographers of the company were: Dali Nalikashvili and Zurab Grigoriani.

"Shevardeni is distinguished by its variety,high performance skills, the proof of which are many diplomas, prizes or awards that have been delivered to the company and its authorities in different years. The Company has been following in the footsreps of Georgian choreographic traditions and has an interesting repertoire,which is as various as Georgian nature. Our Dances are: "Davlur-Kartuli", "Khorumi", "Partsa", "Samaia", "Adjaruli", "Mtiuluri", "khevsuruli", "kintouri", "Kavkasiuri" and others. "Shevardeni" has had successful tours abroad too. IN 1996, the Company was in Rumania, Poland in 1997 and 1998,Turkey in 200 and 2001, in Hungary and GERMANY in 2002, Egypt and Bulgaria in 2004 , Turkey in 2006, Spain in 2007, Greece and Spain in 2009, Poland in 2010 , Hungary in 2012 , Turkey and bulgary in 2015-2016. In 2002, for the 10th anniversary of the foundation and for the creative work of "Shevardeni", the Ministry of Culture of Georgia awarded the Company the degree of National Company and choreographer Zurab Grigoriani the order of Honor for their efforts in the development and popularization of Georgian chpreographic art.
