🔥⚽️ WHAT A WAY TO END PRE-SEASON! ⚽️🔥
PENCLAWDD 5️⃣-6️⃣ GODRE'RGRAIG AFC ❤️🤍🖤⚽️
Our final pre-season game for the U14 Graig lads and what a game it was! 😱🔥
We travelled to Penclawdd with just 10 players after a couple of last-minute dropouts 😬 — definitely not the start we wanted!
A massive THANK YOU to Penclawdd for lending us a player so we could get the game played. 👏❤️🤍🖤⚽️
And what followed was an absolute thriller! 🤯🔥
🔴⚪️⚫️ 1ST QUARTER
We lost the toss and Penclawdd kicked off.
The lads pressed well from the start and put Penclawdd under pressure, although we were a little shaky in places — especially at the back! 😂 The lads were obviously still waking up! 😴🤣
But it wasn't long before GRAIG TOOK THE LEAD! 💥
A great throw from AJ found Joe, who finished nicely! ⚽️👏

Penclawdd didn't let their heads drop and came straight back at us. Both teams battled hard, but we held on to the lead.
💧 WATER BREAK
A few encouraging words and the lads were ready to go again! 💪❤️🤍🖤
🔴⚪️⚫️ 2ND QUARTER
Graig started on the front foot, but Penclawdd hit us on the counter and managed to find the equaliser.

We kept knocking on the door, but Penclawdd kept it shut! 🚪😂
Halfway through and it was all square.
💧 SECOND WATER BREAK
The lads were disappointed with conceding, but heads up — we had plenty of football left! 💪❤️🤍🖤
We made a change with Ashton moving out of goal and into centre-back, while Danny stepped between the sticks. 🧤
🔴⚪️⚫️ 3RD QUARTER — AND HERE WE GO! 🔥🔥🔥
Penclawdd came out with confidence, but we kept them at bay.
Then... COUNTER ATTACK! ⚡️
A beautifully weighted pass from Toby sent AJ through, and he calmly slotted it past the keeper! 👏⚽️

Penclawdd came back again and found their second.
2-2 😬
But the lads didn't panic!
Another brilliant counter attack, a lovely pass from Joe and AJ was through again...
⚽️ GOAL!

Then came another period of Graig pressure. Shot after shot after shot! 💥
Eventually, the ball fell to Logan, who calmly slotted it into the bottom right corner! 🎯⚽️

AND WE WEREN'T DONE! 😱🔥
Penclawdd attacked, we won it in midfield and Decs played the ball to AJ.
AJ found Elijah...
Elijah played a CRACKING through ball back into AJ's path...
AJ finished...

We started with a lovely run and pass into Decs, whose effort was saved by the keeper. Unlucky mate! 👏
Penclawdd came straight back and pulled one back.

He picked the ball up, ran through the whole pack and absolutely SMASHED IT INTO THE BACK OF THE NET! 🚀⚽️

Penclawdd never gave up and managed to claw another two goals back, but the lads battled right until the final whistle! 💪
