Yoxall u11's saw our leauge game last Monday cancelled due to the horrible Bank Holiday weather however they were soon back in action on Tuesday vs Uttoxeter in a cup match. Unfourtunatly Uttoxeter avenged their defeat two weeks earlier amassing 251 net score in reply to our 236. Here is Freddie delves with the man of the match award having scored 10 runs, bowled 3 tight overs and taking another good catch. Away game this evening at Whittington good luck let's hope the weather holds.

Yoxall u11's played our 2nd match of the season last night against a strong Alrewas team of older girls (allowed to play 2 years older than their true age). Alrewas came out on top having reached 244 runs in their 16 overs compared to our 202 (start on 200) . Plenty of positives to take and much to work on for next week in which we have a league and a cup match. Here is Oliver Laing with his man of the match award received for an excellent first attempt at wicket keeping and captaincy.

Well done to all our under 11s this evening playing their 1st ever hardball match. Every single player played great and we could see they have been listening at our training sessions. Batting 1st against a good Uttoxeter team we only lost 2 wickets finishing on 235. In what was destined to be a close finish with 4 overs remaining tight bowling from Sophie Lewis (3overs for just 4 runs) and and inspired Joshua Mackenzie 2 overs 3 wickets helped reduce Uttoxeter to 216 and giving us a well deserved victory by 19 runs.
