York RI Blues came away with a brilliant 2-0 win over HB Rebels 💪🔥AND… York RI Whites secured their FIRST official win of the season against York RI Blues with a fantastic 2-1 result today! 👏⚽

Most importantly, today marked Coach Papa Swan’s final time attending league fixtures as he steps away from football altogether. 💙

Last night marked Coach Papa Swann’s final training session with the team 💙⚽

What a special evening it was — full of smiles, laughter, hard work, and the togetherness that Coach Papa Swann has helped build every single week. From the drills to the final group photo, tonight was a reminder that football is about so much more than the game itself.

Massive effort from York RI Whites today 💪⚽

With only 6 players available instead of the usual 7, the team showed incredible determination, teamwork, and resilience across all fixtures.

We were gutted to miss our match against the Blue team today — they were truly missed and we were looking forward to that one.

Results:
• Pocklington 0–0
• Bishopthorpe 3–0 ❌
• HB Warriors 1–0 ❌

Despite the challenges, we walk away with 4 points today — a great return considering the circumstances 👏

Every single player stepped up and gave their all — the work rate and attitude were outstanding from start to finish 👏

A special mention and big thank you to Bishopthorpe for their great sportsmanship in accommodating a 6v6 match. It’s gestures like that which truly reflect the spirit of the game 🙌
