First win for Heworth ARLFC U13 Girls! 🖤🤍🩷

In only their second ever game, the U13 Girls secured their first victory at home against Hull Wyke Rugby League.

It was a brilliant test for the girls, with Hull Wyke making them work hard throughout. A fantastic performance from a team that is still right at the beginning of its journey, and another huge step forward for this exciting group of girls.

HEWORTH 22-12 SILSDEN

Heworth U15 Girls maintained their unbeaten season at the weekend with a hard-fought victory over Silsden Storm & Stormettes ARLFC.

There was nothing between the teams during a closely contested first half, with the score level at 6-6 going into the break. Silsden continued to push after half-time and the teams were tied again at 12-12, setting up a tense finish.

The Heworth girls remained composed, finished the game strongly and scored twice without reply to secure a 22-12 victory.

Another determined team performance, with just two matches remaining in an incredible season 🖤🤍🩷

A fantastic achievement for three of our Heworth ARLFC Girls Rugby U15s who were selected to represent Central Yorkshire in the Yorkshire Talent Hub.

The girls have taken part in six training sessions and competed in four fixtures, winning three of those games while developing their skills alongside some of the best young players across the region.

It is brilliant to see their hard work, commitment and dedication being recognised at this level. A fantastic opportunity for them and a proud moment for everyone involved with Heworth Amateur Rugby League Football Club.

A fantastic away performance from Heworth ARLFC Girls Rugby U15s today, coming away from Stanningley Rugby Club with a brilliant 28-8 win 🖤🤍🩷

Both sides put everything into the game, with Stanningley making the girls work hard throughout. The Heworth defence was outstanding, showing real determination and teamwork, including a huge effort to hold up one of Stanningley’s try attempts right on the line.

In attack, the girls produced some brilliant rugby, with blistering runs, strong carries and confident support play. One standout moment saw a Heworth player run almost the full length of the pitch, stepping her way around the Stanningley defenders with some silky footwork before finishing a fantastic solo effort.

A great team performance, built on effort, defence and confidence with the ball in hand.

Last night, players and coaches from Heworth ARLFC Girls U15s had the fantastic opportunity to attend Leeds Rhinos Community Night.

The evening began with a behind-the-scenes tour of AMT Headingley before an insightful Q&A session with Leeds Rhinos and England international Keara Bennett. Keara shared her journey through the game, offered advice to the girls and answered questions about what it takes to progress through the rugby league pathway.

The evening then moved to the Kirkstall Training Ground, where Keara and the Leeds Rhinos coaching staff delivered an excellent training session. During the session, Leeds Rhinos pathway scouts were also assessing the girls as part of the Player to Pathway (P2P) programme, giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills and potential in a professional training environment.

A huge thank you to everyone at Leeds Rhinos for organising such a fantastic evening and for continuing to invest in the development of the women's and girls' game. Experiences like this are invaluable for our players, providing both inspiration and the chance to learn from those performing at the highest level 🖤🤍🩷

Today marked a huge milestone for Heworth ARLFC Girls Rugby U13s as they played their very first match, just six weeks after the team was formed.

We welcomed Bronte Barbarians ARLFC to Heworth Amateur Rugby League Football Club for what was always going to be a tough first test against an established side who are unbeaten this season. Although Bronte won 26-4, the result only tells part of the story.

The girls showed fantastic determination, put in some brilliant tackles, moved the ball well and never stopped competing from the first whistle to the last. For a team that's only been together for just six weeks, and a first game for most, everyone should be incredibly proud of what they achieved today.

The Bronte Barbarians coach was so impressed with the girls' performance that they awarded every Heworth player a joint Opposition Player of the Match award. That's a fantastic gesture and a real testament to the commitment every single player showed on the pitch.

A massive thank you to our coach Lee for the incredible work he's put in over such a short period to build a competitive team. The progress already has been outstanding.

We're already looking forward to a return fixture against Bronte in the near future, and our next home fixture is planned for 25th of July against Hull Wyke.

Well done to everyone today, players, friends and families. The score will be forgotten, but the effort, teamwork and character you showed today are what this team will be built on. 🖤🤍🩷

🖤🤍🩷Heworth U15s Girls 20–8 Thornhill Trojans

Another brilliant result for the Heworth ARLFC U15 Girls today, coming away with a hard-earned win away against Thornhill Trojans.

This was easily one of the toughest games of the season so far. Thornhill pushed us all the way, but the girls dug deep, worked for each other, and showed real character across the full match.

The defensive effort was outstanding, with some huge tackles going in and the girls staying switched on under pressure. The work around the ruck made a big difference too, with the team keeping energy and intensity right until the end.

A massive thank you to all the , parents and supporters on the touchline. The encouragement really does help drive the girls on, especially in games as tough as this one.🖤🤍🩷
