Training again today with Jonathan on his lovely K1300S MotorSport. This was Jonathan's 2nd session as he gets 'back to biking' after a 15 year break.
In his first session on Tuesday, we had a real mixed bag of weather, so it was great to be out today on dry roads and in the sunshine. Another cracking session, and Jonathan will be back again in the coming weeks to progress further.

Todays motorcycling related delivery. A pack of 50 3M foam ear plugs. I started using this type of ear plug when I became a Police motorcyclist in the late 90s, and have been using the same type ever since. I've occasionally tried others, including moulded ones, but these just seem to do the job perfectlyfor me, and all for under a tenner and delivered within 48 hours of ordering. Should keep me going for a while👍.

🏍If you were first on the scene of a motorcycle crash… would you know what to do?

Because in those critical first minutes, your actions could mean the difference between life and death.

The reality is, most riders aren’t sure:

Who is most at risk after a crash
How to protect themselves and others at the scene
Whether removing a helmet will help… or cause further harm
That uncertainty is exactly why Biker Down exists.

Biker Down is a FREE, 3-hour course designed by bikers, for bikers to prepare you for the situations no one wants to face.

You’ll learn how to:

Manage a crash scene safely and effectively
Provide essential casualty care, including CPR, airway management, and when (and how) to remove a helmet
Understand the science of visibility and avoid common “Sorry Mate, I Didn’t See You” collisions
Delivered by emergency services and Road Safety Officers, this course gives you the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most.

Training today with Jonathan on his K1300S in stunning MotorSport livery. Jonathan is back to biking after a 15 year break, and looking to refresh his skills. I'd planned to head in whatever direction was away from the rain, but my rain radar clearly wasn't working and we soon had rain! Fortunately, it only last about 30 minutes, and then the rest of the session was dry. Which was a quite a result. Cracking 1st session, and Jonathan will be back on Friday.

Training today, but the question is, will we get wet or will we dodge it? 🤷🌦🤞🌦🤔🌦🤞

Edit.....so far.....mainly wet!! 🤣

May was super busy — nearly 3,000 miles covered whilst conducting training, BikeSafe and FireBiking. Not to mention two trips to Wales (one dry, one very wet!). Read the full monthly roundup to see what I got up to, and the highlights from the road. Read more: https://wix.to/GT7UcMH

Fab day today RoSPA Tutoring with Advanced Riders North Yorkshire. As always, we all met at Strawberry Fields cafe where I was paired up with Paul on his R1200G/S and joined by trainee Tutor Denise on her Triumph Tiger 900.
Great few hours out on the road, before finishing at Seaways Cafe Fridaythorpe for the final debrief. Both cafes were really busy, with loads of bikers enjoying the glorious weather.
