Some pics from the head of the field at tonight's C**k Howe and Beyond fell race, in Billsdale.
Thanks to the Knavesmire volunteers who made it possible.
We had 101 participants, and YKH runners had a numbers of prizes incuding 1st Lady and 1st Men's team.
Profits from the race will be donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

This Wednesday (16.7.25) evening its:

C**k Howe and Beyond Fell Race.

Chop Gate Village Hall 7:15 pm.

The Knavesmire Fell runners are organising this race , one of the NY Moors Summer series.

We have a full compliment of volunteers so if any YKH members wish to run you are very welcome to do so.

If you have not done a fell race this could be a good one to get started. It's 5.75 miles, most of the climbing is in the first mile and a quarter, then a loop of the moor insight of Billsdale mast, before returning on that initial 1.25 miles that has now become a glorious downhill.
There is nothing too technical on the route, mainly easy paths, a mile of trod through heather and mostly wide bridleways on the moor top.

The added bonus for any aspirant Knavesmire fell runners is you will be in the supportive company of the Knavesmire fell crew, cheering you on from the checkpoints and other supportive roles.

Its only £7( £5 if on fra), enter on the day, weather looking good .
You will need mandatory kit :Waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, whistle ,compass and map.
Trail / fell shoes recomended.
Should you not have some of the kit ask to borrow some prior to race.

*Andy Neale Summer Relays*☀️🏃‍♀️🏃

For the sixth year, we will be hosting the Andy Neale Summer Relays on *Thursday 29th August at 18:15* at the Knavesmire 🌳🌳

In previous years we have had a fantastic turn out from new and older club members and would be fabulous to see the same this year! ⚫🟡

The distance of each leg is roughly one mile and we welcome all abilities, with teams of 3 put together based off your recent 10k times ⏱️

The meeting place will be opposite Hamilton Panthers on the grass 🚩

There will be prizes and the customary meetup at the Fox and Roman pub afterwards 🏆 🍻

C**k Howe & Beyond Fell Race.

We are looking forward to hosting the latest race in the Dave Parry Lets Run Summer Fell Race Series 2024.
It's a 6 mile blast with one big climb, a loop of the moor and a tremendous ( & slippy ) descent back down to the finish line.

Entry fees £5.00 FRA members and £7.00 non FRA members.

Registration starts at 18.00hrs, the starter will say go at 19.15hrs.
