MPRS York Hub

MPRS York Hub And right now, Yorkshire & The Humber as a country has the highest proportion of overweight or obese adults in the country.

Founded By Dad of Twins | Helping 40+ To Stop The Drift, Take Back Control And Rewrite Their Next Chapter | DM 'KICKSTARTER' To Apply For Our Lifechanging 6 Week Kickstarter Programme | https://themprs.scoreapp.com/p/fb-kickstarter-more-info-page We're on a Mission here in York

To help transform York into the fittest, healthiest and happiest City in the North, and to do so with some urgency

See,

the statistics around the proportion of people in Yorkshire & Humber that are classed as overweight or obese are sobering:

6/10 adults in York are estimated to be either overweight or obese. Which contributes to the £6.1bn that it costs our already overstretched NHS to deal with every year, set to rise to £9.5bn by 2050

So there is some urgency in our Mission

And we believe we can make a positive impact on every person we get to help

So that they can feel fitter, healthier and happier

Even if they feel like they've tried everything before

Because we're in this for the long game

Which is reflected in our approach, which we promise will:

✅ To help you ditch the focus on weight loss as an indicator of your own health and fitness

✅ Never get you to adopt another gimmick/fad/quick fix/diet/magic pill again, because we all know they never work as a sustainable/sensible solution to long term health

✅ Never to get you to just do long boring cardio, because where is the fun in that?

✅ Never to just beast you with painful, vomit inducing workouts for the sake of it, because what is the purpose of that other than to push you so hard that you feel horrible and never want to exercise or come back again?

✅ To help you drop the ‘all or nothing’ approach because that's just another way to set yourself up to be hard on yourself when you ‘fail'

✅ Never to force you do things you hate, because we believe everyone deserves to find something that they genuinely enjoy when it comes to getting fitter and healthier

✅ Not to shout at you - we'll leave that to the bootcamps and classes out there

✅ Never to make you starve yourself again

✅ Not to give you the hard sell, ever. It's gotta be a good fit for you and us

✅ To support you no matter where your fitness/ability is right now. We'll program everything so that you'll never be made to feel like you're holding anyone up/not able to keep up

✅ To actually learn your name and as much about you as possible, because you didn't sign up to be just another number

✅ To provide a fun, sociable and supportive environment so that you feel welcome and relaxed

✅ To really listen to what you need help with most and give you the tools you need to make real lifestyle changes

Because this aligns with our core values of Thrive, Belong and Amaze

THRIVE

Teach the simple and proven steps that people really need to take to improve their own running through all our media channels

Goal Setting that keeps people disciplined long after their initial motivation wanes

Provide accountability that dramatically increases the probability of adhering to long term lifestyle changes

Show people how it is possible to change lifestyles for good, without wasting any
more time, money or effort on fads, gimmicks and quick fixes

BELONG

Deliver fun, varied and progressive semi private health & fitness coaching to busy runners across the City, striving to be the best part of their day

Provide a welcoming and supportive environment in York that caters to all fitness levels and gives likeminded people the encouragement and sense of achievement they need

Local health and fitness professionals will lead our programmes

Support, connect and collaborate with complementary local businesses

AMAZE

Motivate and instil confidence in people to be, do and have more

Provide an environment that allows people to push out of their own comfort zone and inspire those around them at the same time

Show people how to live without regrets

Teach people how to look after themselves first and lead by example

Give them the tools they really need to turn their lives around for good and have a long lasting impact on their daily life

Work together to devise personal plans as to how they are going to improve their health and fitness

Celebrate their wins with them and teach them how to continue to grow to grow

…i tell people how important sleep is, yet lately my own bedtime has been creeping later and later.

I know I’m better when I’m in bed by 9.

Reality? More like 9.40.

Not exactly scandalous 😂 but apparently knowing and doing are still two different things for me too.

I also find it much harder to stick to my own training and routines now I’ve got two young boys.

I can write the plan.

I know exactly what I should be doing.

Then real life happens.

A friend has also asked me to do a 5km open water swim with him in November.

My first response?

“I don’t have enough time to train for that.”

Except deep down, I know I could find the time.

The truth is, swimming continuously for 5km scares me a bit.

Apparently even coaches can dress fear up as “I don’t have time.”

Here’s a harder one to admit…

I’m still wrestling with the self-belief required to properly build the Reignition Movement™️ into the business I can see in my head.

I believe deeply in what I want it to become.

But when doubt creeps in, I find myself retreating towards fitness.

Because I know fitness.

I’ve spent 15+ years building that evidence.

Reignition requires me to step into something new before I have the same evidence that I can make it work.

And finally…

I still compare myself to other 46 year olds.

I’ll see someone who’s built a bigger business, achieved more or just seems further ahead and catch myself thinking:

“What the f*ck have you been doing, Mike?”

I genuinely thought I’d have grown out of that by now.

Apparently not.

I’m sharing this because I think there’s sometimes an assumption that coaches have somehow figured themselves out.

I certainly haven’t.

I’m still figuring out fatherhood.

I’m still figuring out what I want parts of the next chapter of my life to look like.

I still doubt myself, compare myself and occasionally hide behind excuses I’d probably call someone else out on.

Maybe being 46 isn’t about finally having yourself figured out.

Maybe you just get a little better at noticing when you’re bullsh*tting yourself…

…and deciding what you’re going to do about it.

I see you

Because I’ve been that guy too

They guy who thought he had to navigate ‘life’ all by himself

Because he thought that was what being a Man meant

Now I know different

I know that I need the support, exposure and presence of other Men

Follow for practical ideas on living with greater clarity, energy and intention.

If we’ve never met…

I’m Mike. I’m 46, dad to twin boys, and founder of and

I create experiences that help people step away from the noise, reconnect with what matters and build lives they don’t need a holiday from.

The Sunday Ritual is one of those experiences.

On a Sunday we:

• move before we talk
• create space before the week begins
• reflect with intention
• reconnect with what’s most important
• leave with clarity instead of overwhelm

If you’ve been feeling busy but not aligned…

If you’ve been reacting more than leading…

If you’re craving a better way to start your week…

Comment “SUNDAY” and I’ll send you the details of the next Sunday Ritual.

Move first.
Talk later.

I’ve been working on this quietly for a reason.

It isn’t for the man who just wants a bit more motivation.

It’s for the man who KNOWS he’s drifted, knows the current trajectory isn’t a good one, and is ready to be properly honest about where he’s at.

This is one place, one-to-one, for one man only.

High-touch. Deep work. Built to help him rebuild from the inside out.

If you read that and knew it was you, DM me `YEAR` and lets talk.

September is not a magic reset button.

Every year, people tell themselves they’ll get started once the summer holidays are over.

Then September arrives.

Work gets busy again.

The diary fills up.

Energy drops.

Something else becomes more urgent.

Before long, September becomes October - and the promise to finally get fitter, stronger and healthier gets pushed back yet again.

At some point, “I’ll start soon” becomes the reason nothing ever changes.

The 6-Week Reignition Kickstarter is for people over 40 who’ve spent too long putting their own health last and are now ready to do something properly.

Over six weeks, you’ll work on:

✅ Rebuilding strength and fitness
✅ Losing some of those extra pounds that have crept on
✅ Feeling more comfortable in your clothes
✅ Creating a routine that works around real life
✅ Keeping small promises to yourself again
✅ Rebuilding confidence through actual evidence - not motivation quotes

You don’t need to be fit before you begin.

You don’t need to have everything organised.

But you do need to be ready to attend, take part and follow through - even when the initial enthusiasm wears off.

Group sessions take place in Dalton Terrace, Holgate. And Little Knavesmire, South Bank.

This isn’t a programme for people who want to browse another option, download another plan or wait for life to become less busy.

It’s for people who’ve reached the point where they know that putting this off until later is no longer working.

The next Kickstarter officially begins in September.

Places are limited so that everyone receives the support, attention and accountability they need.

Applications are now open. Once the available places are filled, applications will close.

Click ‘Learn More’ to complete the short application.

Please apply only if you’re genuinely ready to start.

The orange chair was empty again this morning.

And I’m starting to think that’s exactly why it needs to be there.

Because there’s always someone who nearly comes.

Someone who saw the post.

Thought about it.

Maybe even decided last night that this would be the Sunday.

Then morning came.

And staying where they were felt easier.

I understand that more than they probably realise.

Because most of the changes I’ve made in my own life didn’t start when I suddenly felt ready.

They started when I did something EVEN THOUGH I didn’t feel ready.

That’s what this chair has come to represent for me.

Not someone who didn’t show up.

Someone who hasn’t shown up yet.

There’s a big difference.

So we’ll keep putting it out.

We’ll keep walking.

We’ll keep having conversations over coffee afterwards.

And whenever that person decides, “Right. This Sunday I’m actually going…”

There’ll be a place for them.

This is me directly facing up to what I’ve had resistance in talking about.

Because having a Brotherhood of my own has helped me to open up about this and so many other things that I wouldn’t have previously.

This is why I created the Reignition Movement™️ - to help over 40s turn things around before they lose their relationships, their health or the life they’ve worked so hard to build

I stand by every single one of these.Although I suspect one or two may divide opinion 😂What would you add?

Follow for practical advice on getting stronger, fitter and healthier after 40.

Comment "ROADMAP" and I'll send you the full breakdown on what over 40s actually need when they’re wanting to get Stronger, Fitter & More Confident Again.

If we've never spoken before...

I'm Mike, 46 and Dad to twin boys. I founded the Reignition Movement™️ and started .

I help over 40s who know walking isn't enough anymore.

The people who:
• know they need to do something
• have watched their fitness decline over the years
• want more energy for work and family
• have seen parents experience health scares
• want to stay strong, capable and independent as they get older

Within the Reignition Movement™️, we focus on helping over 40s:

👉go from having no motivation and feeling ‘meh’ to building strength, fitness and confidence
👉feel like themselves, brim with energy and thrive again
👉future proof their physical and mental health

👀 So if you know it's time to stop putting your own health last…

Comment "ROADMAP.”

I'll send you the full breakdown for over 40s - the exact thing our followed

Because as much as getting older is inevitable.

Getting weaker doesn't have to be.

04/08/2026

Follow if you’re over 40 and ready to stop drifting through life and start rewriting what comes next.

If we’ve never met...

I’m Mike.

I’m 46, a proud dad to twin boys, and the founder of the Reignition
Movement™.

For years, I thought people needed more motivation.

I don’t anymore.

Most people over 40 already know what they should be doing.

What they’ve often lost is the belief that another chapter is still
possible.

That’s why everything I create exists for one reason.

To help people reconnect with themselves, rebuild momentum, and take
back control of what comes next.

Because life doesn’t stop at 40.

And neither should the person you’re capable of becoming.

If that sounds like the season you’re in...

Comment ROADMAP and I’ll send you my free 3-part video series that explains where to start.

Because the first step isn’t changing your whole life.

It’s simply deciding that your story isn’t finished yet.

02/08/2026

I found myself looking at this chair again today.

Not because someone was sitting in it…

Because nobody was.

It’s funny, every Sunday Ritual I can’t help but wonder about the person who almost came.

The one who got up, thought about it… and then talked themselves out of it.

The one who nearly sent the message.

The one who thought, “I’ll come to the next one instead.”

The more I’ve been building the Reignition Movement, the more I’ve realised something.

Most people don’t need another motivational quote.

They don’t need convincing that they should do something different.

Deep down, they already know.

The difficult bit isn’t knowing.

It’s taking that first step before you feel ready.

That’s why I turned this chair orange.

Not because it makes for a better photo.

Because to me, this chair represents someone.

Maybe next Sunday Ritual (16th Aug) they’ll finally turn up.

Maybe it’s someone reading this.

Either way…

We’ll keep a chair free.
