York 7’s 2022

What can I say? Words can’t describe how fantastic the day was. We took a risk and made a late change of venue to utilise the use of the 4G pitch at YSJ Active. It couldn’t have been any more successful. We would like to offer our thanks to YSJ

We saw a total of 16 teams attend from Ireland and across Great Britain. We would like to thank every single club who entered and made the day happen.

Congratulations to Erin Go Bragh who were triumphant in the Men’s division. A super performance throughout the whole day and we hope to see them back again next year to defend their crown.

A special congratulations must go to Tir Na nOg Newcastle upon Tyne GAA who became consecutive champions of the ladies division. The team-work by this team is on another level and hopefully we see them back the following year for the hat trick.

A game that was end to end the whole way. Our lads pulled it out the bag to get a late goal in the dying minutes and win by two points. York Éireannach Gaelic Football Team 4-10 Brothers Pearse 5-5 . Thank you to Brothers Pearse for hosting the fixture.

Scheduled for the August Bank Holiday weekend, enjoy the fabulous city of York, go to York races, hit the pubs and clubs all while enjoying a great day of Gaelic football on Saturday.

Enter teams of 10 players, 7-a-side during games with 3 subs. Registration is 11am. Entry per team is £60 or £100 for 2 teams.
