Centre-pin Match Win 💥(98lb 5oz on the pin)

Nice days fishing at Lindholme yesterday for the centre-pin match. Absolute chaotic nightmare but walked away with a much needed win. Great laugh with great people.

Well another very disappointing result this time in NRM match pegged 121 (SHOG'S peg) where I've won from before, this put me competing against an in form end peg, and on a low river that is an even bigger advantage. He caught 30lb odd and no one else was close in our zone. I tipped back around a pound, needed bream but there was nothing but wasps. Not fussed as made final last year but would have been nice to fish Ouse in final, oh well!

Onto a slightly more fruitful day....

First time fishing Aston Park yesterday. Fished Stable Lake. Caught consistently most of the day, carp, f1's and the odd nuisance silverfish. Very nice place, plenty of lakes, nice surroundings and a decent cafe and tackle shop to suit. Oh and met TANK. Well done to my mate AL who joined me for day.

River Ouse opening day-3lb odd of bits for nowhere.

Summer series match 4-5lb 12 oz from Peg 16.
Only fished 3 this year and can't make any more so another cursed series for me!

Rennison shield, really put my heart into this one. Well over 100 fish and would have won silverfishing shalla alone but had to fish for quality on the deck second half of match as 2 carp came out. Finished 4th with 15-12. Story of my year!

Help for heroes, same peg as last year...same winning plan? What happened? Destroyed! Tipped back 4lb of wasps.

Hopefully get mojo and some sort of winning momentum back soon, it's definitely in there. Just have to keep trying ey.

Nothing much to report fishing wise, not been a focus of mine for a long time but slowly getting the bug back.

Fished 2 Railway Pond summer series matches.

First match drew 5 and had 5lb 9oz, was catching well until the trout ruined the shallow line, couldn't catch long and stamp was small on deck. Finished 2nd in section.

Second match drew 1 better peg but in a stronger section. Fished really well think I had nearly 50 fish after first half shalla long down edge before it's slowed and had to wait for fish, had a nice run of f1's long but fell a fish or two short of section ended up 3rd in match 2nd in section 10lb 11oz (75 fish)

Last Saturday fished Limdholme on Beeches Lake with the old YAP crew plus a few 'railwaymen.' It fished incredibly hard literally nothing working. Eventually had a good run long on deck 4 big f1's, nicked a couple of skimmers short as well as another f1 then went down margins, hooked 3 good carp in edge only getting one out. Finished with 22-12 for a section win! Definitely a tip day due to wind but opted for bomb and think feeder would have caught. Very frustrating.

Back on the river tomorrow.

4 weekend days and 4 fishing trips, all with my mate AL, Bacon factory, Mushroom, Conifer and Brickyard respectively, fishing is tough but a funny time of year. Just good to get the bug back, now need to get organised and my head back in the game.
