Are you 16–25 and looking for a new challenge?

Whether you’re sporty already, completely new to rowing, or simply looking to be part of something exciting—we’d love to welcome you.

We’re building our U25 crew with our sights set on the World Pilot Gig Championships 2027 in the Isles of Scilly — and this is your chance to be part of the journey from the very beginning.

No experience needed.
Just energy, commitment, and willingness to give it a go.

What a day ☀️🚣‍♀️

Wall-to-wall sunshine, water like glass, and the perfect conditions to welcome so many new faces to the river.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Open Day such a success. From rowing, coxing and coordinating, to welcoming visitors, serving bacon baps and homemade cakes, and cheering everyone on from the shore — it was a real team effort from start to finish.

We were thrilled to see 30+ expressions of interest, with 8 rows out on the water, brilliant support from members across the club, and enthusiasm from all age groups throughout the day.

The 250m ergo challenge brought plenty of energy too, with some seriously impressive times posted — congratulations to all our winners, each taking home 2026 club membership for their age category 💪

Most of all, it was fantastic to see so many people keen to give gig rowing a go. There was a real buzz around the club all day, and we’re so excited to welcome new members into Tamar & Tavy.
