The way people are spoken to matters. The environment they train in matters. The way they leave a session feeling matters👏🏼

I know what it feels like to be kicked while already down by a professional someone who was supposed to support, guide and help build confidence. Instead, it can leave you doubting yourself and knock you mentally far more than people realise🫶🏼

That experience shaped the type of coach I never want to be!🙃

People improve most when they feel supported, understood and encouraged not embarrassed or degraded 👑

Recently I have heard clients say they didn’t work hard enough because they aren’t sore … its a dangerous mindset to have!

So let’s talk about it …

DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Sorness) is NOT a reliable sign of progress

👉🏼You can have an amazing, effective session… and feel nothing the next day
👉🏼You can also be sore from doing something new

Soreness is usually caused by:
• New exercises
• Increased volume or intensity
• Slower, controlled reps (especially on the way down)

If you’re constantly chasing that sore feeling, you’re probably:
❌ Hurting your recovery
❌ Reducing performance in your next sessions
❌ Making consistency harder

And consistency is where results actually come from

What you SHOULD focus on instead:
✔️ Getting stronger over time
✔️ Improving your technique
✔️ Showing up week after week

Stop chasing those DOMS 💪🏼
