Colour Run 2026 🌈🏃‍♀️

As we get over the hump of the week and look forward to Norfolk Big Rugby Weekend at Wymondham RFC. This sunshine is reminding us of Sunday where hundreds of people came along to the annual colour run.

There were plenty of Wasps youth there too 🥰

Yesterday we hosted and took part in the Eastern Counties Finals and it was such a fantastic day of girls rugby across our region!

Our first report we have in is from our u16s, here is what Coach Charley had to say:

As part of an inspiring finals day that brought together hundreds of girls from across Eastern Counties, Wymondham U16 Girls signed off their season with a dominant 69–19 victory over West Walsham in the EC U16 Plate (3rd/4th) Final.

The match was a brilliant showcase of the growth and strength of the girls’ game. Both sides contributed to an entertaining, high energy contest, with West Walsham proving to be positive and resilient opposition throughout.

Wymondham started strongly, their attacking structure quickly paying off, applying early pressure and showing intent with ball in hand. Tries came from Liv, Charlotte Heidi and Cassie and West Walsham keeping themselves in the game. It was 31-12 at half time.

The second half saw Wymondham raise their intensity further, combining powerful carries with excellent support play and quick hands in to space. Hannah stormed the white wash from a 5m penalty, Tiff finished with some footwork out wide. Tries from Eva, Caitlin, Holly, Heidi added her second of the game, and Harriet with an outstanding long distance break from half way. Caitlin rounded off the day scoring a second try and converting it herself, seeing the girls celebrating at the final whistle.

Across the match, the girls showed excellent work rate, communication, and teamwork, consistently supporting each other in attack and working hard in defence. Credit to West Walsham, who continued to battle and showed great spirit until the final whistle.

Well done girls! ❤️🖤🏉

Huge shoutout to one of our amazing head coach! 🏉👏

She was recently nominated as part of the RFU Volunteer Recognition Programme and got to spend an incredible day at Pennyhill Park watching the Red Roses train 💪🔥

From seeing elite rugby up close to enjoying some great food (and picking up a few free goodies too 👀), it was a well-deserved experience for all the hard work and dedication she gives to our club every week.

We’re so proud to have you as part of our team — and this recognition couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person! ❤️🏉

What an incredible day celebrating U18 Girls Rugby – a festival packed with talent, determination, and the true spirit of the game. From powerful runs to fearless defence, every player showed exactly why girls’ rugby is growing stronger every year.

A huge thanks to Crusaders and Suffolk Cluster for the great rugby! They gave it their all on the pitch. 👏 And a massive thank you to the coaches, referees, and supporters who made the day possible.

❤️🖤U14s are through to the EC semi-final ❤️🖤

Coach Ian had this to say after a great win in the quarters:
“Wymondham U14s girls advanced into EC conference semi finals with a well deserved victory over the Phoenixes, 52-15. Chloe and Jaz both completing hat tricks and further tries from Nym and Erin W, who also made six conversions. A complete team performance was on show and was certainly required, as the Phoenixes at times had large periods of possession and showed their quality by scoring three tries. The team selected Tilly as their player of the match , with some eye catching runs and great footwork. Massie was the coaches’ player, again making great metres forward and solid at the set piece. The hard-work in training is paying off and the team look forward to a challenging final third of the season.”

👏 Thanks to Phoenix’s for the great game!

Wymondham are hosting EC Finals day on 19th April and it is going to be an amazing day to celebrate a great season across Eastern Counties 🏉
