🔴⚽️ Fc Queens Park 4 - 2 Johnstown YFC ⚽️🔴

The lads were on the road today for another away day pre season friendly. This time we travelled to Johnstown to face their newly formed team.

From the off we started strong with brilliant pass work causing Johnstown problems. We led going into half time because of a brilliant individual goal from Mason who dribbled from his own half, through the oppositions midfield until he found the back of the net with a great strike.

Second half Mason found the back of the net again thanks to some quality 1-2s from Lewis and Leo. Next to get on the score sheet was Cain from a brilliant long ball from Jacob. Last to score was C**t who stayed calm when he was put under pressure by Johnstown’s defence, he did what he does best, cut in from the left and slotted it in to the keepers right.

Towards the end of the second half the lads took their feet off the gas and got a bit complacent on the search for more goals, this cost us 2 goals that could have been avoided.

Hats off to Johnstown for their constant battling with their “never give up” attitude. Stand out performances from their number 9, also both of their keepers, who made some amazing saves. We’d like to wish Johnstown all the best for their first season, they’re definitely a team to watch ❤️

Tomorrow the lads have another pre season friendly, this time it’s an away day against newly formed Johnstown YFC. We’ll be using tomorrows game to trial the lads in different positions to see what works and what doesn’t for the new season 🔴⚽️

“Another survey? Yes another survey! Why? Because im angry!

These last few years we have lost so much on this estate. Im a council estate kid with kids, I grew up with youth clubs every night! Splash in the holidays! Camping! Trips! Fun days! Rounder on the field! Play schemes!

Over time we have lost it all, bit by bit. Im not just talking about Caia Park Partnership Ltd although our cafe, tenency support and other needed projects are greatly missed! . Gwenfro Valley Adventure Playground lost valuable hours and days which they could open! The Venture lost valuable times with children. Not to mention Sparkles Day Nursery almost closing its doors and after school clubs & holiday clubs in the area shutting down due to costs. Gwenfro CP school, wrexham Hafod Y Wern St annes.

Our football teams struggle each year to fund the pitch fees and the kits. The majority of funds are actually paid by members of the community because they once had a childhood playing grassroots football.

There is so much more to be angry over but Its time to remember what we lost and fight for funding to come back into our estate. We are a community with residents who struggle financially! We have wards with the highest deprivation in Wales! Families who are already missing out on opportunities. Kids are already missing out on hobbies because their families cant afford it. Its time we use our voices to speak up for whats needed in our estate to ensure everyone has the services and activities regardless of how much money they have!

We are a huge estate 12000 residents, i am 1 person and if im going to make any impact in fighting for funding i need your voices to make mine louder so please if your from Caia Park/Queenspark help me help our estate. Fill in the survey. Share it with your families.”
