My life story in 3 minutes…
My parents both worked hard, Mum as a shop assistant and my Dad as a Dairy Farmer. We never had the latest clothes or tech, but we had a house with a garden, meals provided, so I was very grateful for that experience.
I grew up in North Wales surrounded by hills but was only an hour from the bigger cities of the North West of England. I spent a lot of my time outside playing.
I was bigger than all my class mates and got singled out for this with cruel remarks like Big Foot, The BFG. 🦍
I started to play rugby league and excelled at it and gained a circle of team mates and the taunts from bullies relented. To this day I only remain in contact with 1 person I went to school with.
I left school and signed a semi professional contract to play rugby league. Life was good as I loved the training and playing at a very competitive level. I flunked my A levels and worked some part time jobs. Until at 20 years old I didn’t make the grade as a full time pro, my contract wasn’t renewed and suddenly thought WTF now. 😭
An opportunity presented itself to play in Australia, within a week I’d sold my car and quit my part time job. Jumped on a plane to Sydney. YOLO ✈️🇦🇺🏉
A year flew by of playing semi pro and travelling the East Coast of Australia. Then I was back in the UK unemployed and no rugby club. Back to WTF now….. again 😭
I got a job in a call centre and started playing semi pro again. I needed more and went to University to do a bachelors degree in IT. I got a mortgage at the same time and found out I’d graduated whilst in Bali on tour with Great Britain Student Rugby League side. That was a fun tour. 🍻🍻🍻
I couldn’t find any entry level IT jobs paying enough to cover my mortgage, and I fell into sales. Years went by where I excelled in sales and eventually I got married and a child on the way. I retired from playing rugby league at 31. I missed it and had a big void in my life.
I missed the buzz and my team mates. I replaced it 1 afternoon with a Betfair Sports Exchange Trading Account. £200 deposit and was up £5k. WOW I’d made it. 2 years later a gambling addict, £50k in debt and lost my job as I couldn’t function due to a lack of sleep. 😴
My sleep had deteriorated due to stress over unpaid mortgage and bills. I was hiding letters and answering the phone before my wife. I’d fu**ed up, then my wife opened a letter as the post man came earlier than usual. My secret was out and I was having suicidal thoughts.💀
With help and support of my wife we re-mortgaged the debts into 1 manageable monthly payment. But I was a mess mentally and physically. Poor sleep had led to no exercise and poor diet choices. I was 320lbs and hated the way I looked and felt. 🫄🐽
I gained some inner strength and went back to the gym. I lost some lbs and felt better. Got a Personal Trainer and lost some more lbs. I was successful in gaining employment again.
My sales job was going well, I set my stall out to be a leader and help others. I got promoted and took on a team of 8 sales people. I loved helping them grow as individuals and as a team. Sales numbers were getting smashed, commission was rolling in.
But I was stressed and not Sleeping again. I reached out and got a sleep coach, we worked together to optimise my sleep.🛌💤
My energy levels increased. Mental Clarity was on point. I smashed the gym. I eat well. I lost 10 lbs in 4 weeks. My productivity at work 10 X. My teams sales performance skyrocketed. 🚀
SLEEP CHANGED MY LIFE ❤️
I knew I had to help others feel the same way. I invested in myself and became an accredited sleep coach. I worked with my team in work to optimise their sleep and watched sales results go off the charts. Team members dropping 10lbs +, their productivity 10 X and morale overall was incredible.
12 months later I’m now working online coaching salespeople aged 30-50 years old to optimise their sleep to skyrocket their sales performance. 🚀
I love what I do as much as I love my sleep.😍
I appreciate you taking the time to read this post, and hopefully gives you an insight into my life and why I do what I do. 🙏🏻
