⚽️⚽️⚽️New Season Kicks Off!⚽️⚽️⚽️

Finally for this weekend, our Under 15s made it a hat-trick of wins for our three junior sides with a 4-1 victory over CPD Llangollen at Graig Lane.
Starting the season with the same fixture we ended the last, the lads were at it from the whistle and played some sharp and direct football against a well drilled, committed opponent.
Our four new signings all bedded in well on their league debuts and the win was sealed with goals from Ollie Burrell with his first league goal for the club, last seasons golden boot winner Rylan Powell, a towering header from a corner (standard by today) from Joe Rogers and a poachers goal from Seb Taylor.

Pressed from the first minute, ran the channels well and took his goal with real composure and was a dubious offside decision away from a brace!

⚽️⚽️⚽️New season kicks off!!⚽️⚽️⚽️

One of our two new sides, the Under 15 Athletics made it two wins out of two for our junior sides on Saturday with a 2-0 win away at Deeside Dragons.
The message before the game was to make sure we got 3 points as we played our first game for the club sporting our brand new kit.
Although only 1-0 up at half time, the lads performed well, with Robin, Alfie, Matthew and Riley causing the Deeside defence lots of problems.
2nd half they were asked to put the game to bed early and not waste any more chances.
Isaac and Roger kept dictating the game from midfield, again being the start of lots of opportunities created.
Again we rued missed chances, but once the 2nd goal went in we felt the 3 points were ours.
Alfie Andrews 1st half and Matthew Jones 2nd half, getting the goals in a game that we made hard work of to eventually seal the 3 points.

Lots of good performances on the first day of the season, but captain Isaac came away with the player of the match award for his overall classy display.

The new season kicked off at Graig Lane on Friday evening with our under 13s side getting off to a great start with a 5-0 victory over Ruthin Town Blues.
The new coaching set up with the two Dave’s working together on the touchline for the first time in a league match.

All 15 boys proudly wore their new home kits for the opening game of the season. A great team performance, which included 2 fantastic individual goals, which included long range strikes from Finn and Sam. The game was played in a fantastic spirit by both sides.

Outstanding in goal, commanding his area and his distribution was fantastic. He regularly helped put us on the attack quickly, and his performance was topped off with a well-deserved clean sheet!

Our under 15 Athletics player of the month for July is Matthew Jones.
Manager Carl’s thoughts :

3 games in July.

Good performance in the win against Bellevue assisting 1 of the goals.

Player of the match against Ruabon Rovers.

Ran his socks of in another game against Bellevue when we only had 11 players.

Due to player availability throughought the holidays, he has played as a striker, winger and centre midfield.
