RACE INFO
A few things to note for next week's race...
1. PARKING
You will need to pay for parking. - usual charges apply.
2. ACCESS
There are significant works going on at Oneplanet. We've done our best to provide a great race circuit, however the situation isn't as ideal as we'd like to arrive/sign on. We ask for your understanding with this. In particular...
*Arrive early - It is likely that you will have to park way up into the forest and walk back to sign on.
*If its raining this access track is very dirty.
* Please park considerately,- we need to get as many people parked in a relatively small space as possible.
* Coffey will open 2 x fenced off parking bays for us to use. Please do NOT enter the Coffey compound by the office or reservoir works. 24 hour CCTV is in operation with a direct line to the police!
3. SIGN ON
Sign on will be on the decking by the cafe as usual.
4. START/FINISH/PITS
The start/finish line and pits is at the top of car park 3, behind the Coffey compound. This is a different place to last year and is a 5-10 min walk from the cafe.
5. DRESS WELL!
The start/finish line/ Pits is in a VERY exposed place. This area (particularly the pits) is likely to get muddy if there is a lot of rain (i'll keep praying for sun)
Bring warm clothes/waterproofs/wellies/ (Hopefully suncream) if you plan to hang around around in these areas.
6. TOILETS
Portaloos will be provided near the start line /Gate/Coffey offices for the last minute nervous toilet requirements! Main toilets at the Visitor centre are also available for use.
7. ACCESS FOR SPECTATORS
Most of the course is accessible to walk around and watch, please be mindful of other trail users who will be using the access track (where most people will be parking) to return to the centre.
8. END OF THE DAY
We appreciate all help to take down the course at the end of the day. Most work for this event has been done by 3 busy organisers, who by the end of the race are very tired. If everybody who comes is able to give just 20 mins to help it it means so much.
Please pile all tape, signs, poles either at the end of car park 3, by the gate OR by sign on at the cafe.
Wishing you all good luck and we hope that you enjoy the race.
Any questions please do get in touch [email protected]
Thanks!
