⚽️Brymbo Blast 10’s vs Aston Park 10’s ⚽️ (H)

Today we welcomed Aston Park to the Crick today in our season opener in the Flintshire league.
What followed was a debut to remember…
The lads started very strongly and took the game by the scruff of the neck from the very first whistle.
We spoke about what we’ve worked on in training and being brave on and off the ball and making space all over the pitch and getting in behind the opposition as much as we could.
What followed was a coaches dream.. the lads went from defence to attack effortlessly and recovered the ball with high intensity whenever we were out of possession.
The highlight of the day was in the final quarter where Harri our keeper had the ball and 4 passes later the ball was in the back of the net ..

Great effort from the boys and a performance to build on …

Eddie - What a performance in the middle of the park..
Looked to drive us forward at every opportunity using his passing range to get us in behind and on the front foot at every opportunity and got his rewards with 6 fantastic goals. Well done young man 🟠⚫️

Monty- This young man oozed confidence today and was involved in everything we did today, his work rate and bringing his teammates into the game was outstanding and a pleasure to watch. Again getting his rewards with a hat-trick ..

A fresh start and a new challenge for the boys this morning with a trip to Aston to get our season underway in a new league. 🔥

Going in with a blank canvas, we told the boys to simply get back to what they know they’re good at — and the lads responded brilliantly.

The boys played some excellent football, linking up really well and showing great patience in attack rather than forcing or rushing the play.

Most importantly, the boys played with smiles on their faces, worked hard for each other and secured a really positive result to kick-start the season. 👏

🔥Opposition Man of the Match — Jacob

Jacob was selected by the opposition for his excellent performance on the right wing.

He was a constant threat throughout the game, delivering dangerous balls into the box and capping off his performance with a lovely goal. 👏

⭐ Coaches’ Man of the Match — George

George dictated everything from the middle of the park. His big switches of play, dangerous runs and hard work defensively made a huge difference to the team.

He just pipped it to the coaches’ award after an excellent all-round performance. 👏🔥

Match Report - Brymbo FC U9's v Whitchurch Alport FC U9's - 6/09/2026

It was a challenging start to the morning for the boys, as they struggled to get going in the first two games. We looked a little panicky in possession and didn’t quite play with the confidence we know they have.

However, once the boys settled down, got the ball on the floor and started playing their football, we saw a completely different team. There were some really good passages of play, with plenty of positive passing, movement and attacking football.

The two draws could and probably should have been wins, with the boys creating enough opportunities and showing enough quality to take the 2 wins. The most pleasing thing was seeing them grow in confidence as the morning went on.

It was also the first time these boys have played together as a team, so there was always going to be an element of getting used to each other. We also tried the boys in numerous different positions throughout the morning, giving everyone the opportunity to experience different roles and challenges.

Considering all of that, every single player should be very proud of themselves. They kept going, adapted to different positions and, most importantly, showed what they can do once they relax and play their football.

Lots of positives to take forward, plenty to work on, and a really exciting group of players. 👏⚽️

⚽ Brymbo FC U10’s Annual Fundraiser Tournament – 30/08/2026 🏆

This morning we held our annual fundraiser tournament, and as always, we set out to make it as competitive as possible.

Just like the friendlies and tournaments we have organised throughout the summer, our aim was to provide a tough test for both of our teams while welcoming some fantastic opposition.

With teams travelling from Anglesey, Manchester and the Wirral, the talent, football and competition on show today was absolutely through the roof! 🔥⚽

A massive congratulations to all of today’s winners and runners-up:

👏🏼 And a huge thank you to everyone who helped with setting up, running the kitchen, organising the pitches and getting everything ready. Once again, everyone pulled together to help us put on what we believe was the best tournament we could give.

Finally, congratulations to all our winners, runners-up and every single team that took part. 🏆👏🏼

And of course, a massive thank you to all the parents, coaches and players for playing their part and helping make another Brymbo FC tournament such a fantastic day.

Tomorrow, our U10s host their annual fundraiser tournament! ⚽

​It promises to be a fantastic morning of grassroots football, with teams travelling from as far afield as Anglesey and Manchester.

​If you fancy your grassroots football fix, get yourself down to Brymbo! Come along to support the teams, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy a brilliant morning of football.
