1st game back for the boys yesterday and with us playing at our highest level since becoming Kilton United, we expected every week to be tough.

We travelled away to little Mester, a team that has already tasted prem success, arguably favourites for our league.

The lads battled their socks off, going 1-0 up through a Matty Thompson penalty which should have seen their gk sent off, we had some good phases of play only to concede with crosses coming into the box in abundance.

2nd half we started slow and conceded 2 quick fire goals but we worked our way back and our no9 Carl Jacks grabbed us our 2nd with 10 to go setting up a great end to the game, they played every trick in the book to slow the game down and two big chances come and went for the Kilton boys.

Tabby satisfied, ran the favourites for 90 minutes ? Take that !!!

Got punished for not taking our chances in the 1st half, beaten by a good team eventually but could have had 3 in first half and changed whole dynamics of the game.

First one back for the boys today and it’s like we’ve never been away, great performances all over the pitch, 3 new lads on show all showing there more than capable and we are glad to have them.

Annual tour next week, so more football but a bonding session for the boys too !!

Good run out for the lads to end the season in our local Derby, lads were straight out the blocks and looked sharp even after a couple of weeks off.

So, that’s a wrap for this season.

In what’s had its ups and downs, short of numbers for majority of the season through injuries and work commitments, we’ve pulled off some great performances.

Promotion is still on the cards, albeit it’s out of our hands but if these lads can secure back to back promotions with the squad numbers we’ve had then massive credit to them, we’ve new players already joining for next season so keep an eye out for that.

A couple of months off now, presentation night to sort and our annual summer tour is booked ⚫️⚪️⚽️🍻🤷🏼‍♂️🤣
