Today is a happy and sad day. I officially retire from the job I have been doing for 50 years as a PGA Golf Professional, a General Manager, a golf course owner, and founder of the original flexible golf membership system Points4Golf. I have been welded to the game and itβs been quite a journey and at times itβs been really tough, especially the last 15 years, golf has changed so much! But I have been very lucky and met some wonderful people along the way β€οΈ ππΌββοΈ I am so excited that I am now going to focus on delivering my new initiativeβForeβ Get Me Not Golf hopefully across the world with the support of (I hope ππ») the golfing family of the world πππΌββοΈFGMNG is a Charity based initiative that uses the green space of golf clubs to allow people living with Dementia the opportunity of some free respite, some fun and lots of Tea and Cake π° I am so proud of how itβs already growing across the Uk and already making a difference to so many peopleβs lives. Having lived with Dementia for over 14 years my family and I really understand how important what we are doing is, I think itβs my calling to bring the golfing family of the world together, make everyone aware of what this dreadful disease is and just bring a bit of light into the lives of the families that live with this 24/7 β€οΈππΌββοΈ
We need your support, we need as many clubs as possible to deliver sessions (we will train you and support you) we need you to spread the word, wear the badge and donate to the Charity if you can ππ»
I have so many people to thank for all your support so far, especially my wonderful wife Jacqui, my children Mark and Charlotte and my brother Andy my sister Julie and their
families. To all the others, you know who you are β€οΈ
