6 week rehab course

We’re 3 weeks into our 6 week basics course. While we run the Mums rehab fitness classes for any level of post natal, some mums feel too broken and their bodies are too unstable to do even our mums class.

So this course runs for 6 weeks, twice a week and we spend more time on the basics.
- Foam rolling out tense legs, arms and mid back muscles. - Massage balling, forearms, shoulders, lower backs and hips.
- Learning proper breathing mechanics after pregnancy.
- Activating each later of the core
- Strengthening the back, pelvis and hips
- Towards the second half of the course, we’ll start introducing basic movements again, so they start going to the regular Mums rehab fitness classes when the course is over

🤔Do you know a mum that needs this course?

They can be 6 weeks post natal plus (we have a mum who’s youngest is 5years! Once post natal, always post natal if you don’t rehab 😬)

Thursdays at 10.30am

- 0-20min- Core rehab and foam rolling and stretching to get rid of aches and pains and teach you how to activate your core again.
- 20-50min- workout with appropriate weights (for your level of post partum and ability), cardio machines, Bodyweight exercises, all in various circuit, HIIT, boot camp or strength layouts.
- 50-60min- more foam rolling and stretching to iron out more kinks from carrying kids and pushing buggies etc 😉

All babies and toddlers welcome 👶🏼

🏠We’ve moved!🏠

But don't worry, it’s only 300m away! As always, if you want to keep more up to date with what’s going on please join our private facebook group ‘Synergy Studio Classes’. Our now old location was always going to be temporary, due to St Williams building more flats in the area. This is a long term location and we are delighted to call it our home and will continue to make improvements over the next few months.

Some exciting new features; our Synergy Studio space for classes and personal training will be located in the bottom left of the space on entering (instead of walking all the way through the CrossFit space to the top right where we used to be). We now have an upstairs space for personal training and rehab and two therapy rooms will be built shortly to house sports massage and acupuncture that will be starting soon, as well as the NKT injury clinic.

Calling all broken mums!

We have run a Mums Rehab Fitness classes in Synergy Personal Training Studio gym for 5 years. It’s a combination of loosening aches and pains (with foam rollers, balls and stretches), breathing core activation to rehab your core, strength training movements to rebuild your strength and cardio (via bikes, rowers and low impact equipment an Bodyweight movement). It is baby and toddler friendly they can crawl/ run around while you exercise.

This class is usually suitable for mums 6-12 weeks post natal, with diastasis, back pain, no exercise history and has been successfully be rebuilding mums for the last 5 years. We have noticed there is a small group that are even more broken/ unstable pelvis, back, knees, shoulders and pelvic floor issues that don’t feel even strong enough to attend. We would like to trial a small group of mums that feel unable to attend even our regular classes. If you are working with a physio, even better, but that’s not necessary. Our coaches are corrective exercise and post natal trained and Neurokinetic therapy qualified to assess muscles imbalances. There is a void in our health care system, where you might be sent to an NHS physio, but due to limitations, they will be hands off and we can help be more hands and liaise with any osteo’s, physios and chiro’s your working with, or help you from scratch. This is something we do 1-2-1, but now would like to trial a FREE small group class, twice a week for a 6 week course. You would need to commit to attending (child illness permitting).

We used to be based in crouch end for 14 years and had to move slightly outside (back of Ally Pally) just before the pandemic. Yes we’re still building stronger mums! 💪🏼

While we’ve been a little quite on the social media front, we’re still building stronger mums.

Mums that can rehab their muscle imbalances from pregnancy, birth and the early weeks to lifting weights again and coming back stronger than ever!

Building strong mums to cope with car seats, buggies, carrying toddlers, shopping, scooters and all the paraphernalia that comes with kids!

Calling all mums with a toddler!

‘Once a mum, always a mums’. The newborn phase is not the only the time to be rehabbing from pregnancy and birth. We have a lot of ‘older mums’ postnally speaking, that need to continue the rehab phase into toddlerhood. Our space for the class allows the toddlers to roam free, while mum can try and work on her core, get strong safely and get a sweat on! Don’t be afraid to bring the crankiest toddler (especially in this heat 🥵) as the change of scenery, other toddlers, usually means mum gets to train! 🙌🏼

We’re back in the gym!

After another lockdown and exclusively online, the Mums Rehab Fitness classes will be back in the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am from 11th May.

They will include:

- Mobility- foam rolling and stretching to get rid of aches and pains.

- Core rehab- correct breathing core activation exercises to restore your core.

- Strength training- Lifting weights safely to make you strong.

- Cardio conditioning- get your sweat on with a rower, tornado bike and ski erg.

Due to fact that you will be lifting weights and working hard in the conditioning part you will need to attend a 30min core and movement screen to make sure you are ready to attend. Saturdays are back on the timetable!

If you’ve been unable to attend our weekday Mums Rehab fitness classes, the Saturday classes are back!

10am every Saturday we’ll be taking you through mobility work. Foam rolling and balling out those tense/ tight areas of the body. Working on rebuilding the whole core and workout to get you stronger and fitter.

Start at the core!

All of our carefully programmed Mums Rehab Fitness classes are all back online.

Now that you’re home, roll out your mat and join us online to start working on that core. Even if you did all the deep core exercises on the early days and then had a little break from exercise, with all the craziness in the world right now. You always need to revisit the basics.

We always start with some loosening off with foam rollers and massage balls (from all those daily aches and pains), then breathing and deep core activation, then the other core muscles and finally a workout.

We're back in the gym!

From next Wednesday 16th at 12pm the Mums Rehab Fitness classes are back in

The Mums Rehab mums survived lockdown with the help of the online classes 3 times a week to keep them sane, but now that the gyms have reopened and we can provide a safe place to train, they are ready to lift weights and use the cardio equipment again.

There will be space for only 8 mums and babies. The babies will have to remain near the mums designated mats and won't have the free reign they used to of the gym. But after seeing some babies attending the normal classes and personal training sessions, it is possible!

It's easy to book, simply go to the app, search for Synergy Personal Training studio and view schedule to book your FREE taster class. 30min assessment are recommended for new mums, get in touch if you would like to book one📲
