INTRODUCING OUR ATTACKERS | 26/27 SEASON 🧡🖤

The players who bring the goals, creativity, pace and unpredictability to our attack. Whether leading the line, playing as a number 10 or creating opportunities for teammates, our attacking players have a vital role to play this season.

They’re the players who can change a game in a moment — with a run in behind, a clever pass, a bit of individual brilliance or simply being in the right place at the right time. 🔥⚽️

🟠 #5 ISOBEL ROPER — RETAINED

Retained for another season after joining us last Christmas, Izzy is one of our most versatile players and can operate at both ends of the pitch. Primarily a defender, Izzy mainly plays an attacking role as a striker for Bilston, giving the team valuable flexibility. Her ability to win the ball, drive forward and pick out the perfectly timed pass is invaluable. Her long powerful range of shots often hit the back of the net. Her workrate despite her ongoing injury, her skill, determination and willingness to adapt wherever the team needs her make her a real asset to the Steelwomen. 💪
Sadly, Izzy manages a rare sports injury affecting both calves, which does impact the amount of time she is able to spend on the pitch. But when Izzy is out there, she makes a difference. 🧡🖤

🆕 #8 TASH HUGHES — NEW SIGNING

Tash brings experience, confidence and plenty of attacking ability to the squad.

Primarily operating as a number 10, Tash has the vision and football intelligence to read the game and make things happen in the final third.
Her ability on the ball allows her to create goal-scoring opportunities for herself or link up with teammates to unlock defences. She’s confident in possession, sees opportunities others may not and adds another exciting dimension to our attack.

We’re looking forward to seeing Tash make her mark in orange and black. 🔥

🟠 #9 FRANKIE GRIFFITHS — RETAINED

Frankie is an intelligent attacking player who can operate between the lines as a number 10 or lead the line as a striker.

A clever footballer with a real eye for goal, Frankie understands how to find space, bring others into play and put herself in dangerous positions. Her ability to combine intelligence with attacking instinct makes her a constant threat in the final third. ⚽️

Frankie underwent left knee surgery in March, ruling her out for the remainder of last season while she concentrated on her recovery.
She recently made her return in our FA Cup match, but sadly suffered an injury to her other knee. A suspected meniscus tear and MCL injury means another operation is being planned, followed by another period of recovery.
But if there’s one thing we know about Frankie, it’s that she is strong, fit and incredibly resilient. 💪
We’ll be right behind you, Frankie, every step of the way. 🧡🖤

🆕 #16 ZOIE COLLETT — NEW SIGNING

Zoie is a young, pacy striker who joined us towards the end of pre-season and immediately gave us a glimpse of the exciting talent she brings to the squad.

Arriving with impressive stats from her previous club, Zoie has pace, energy and an eye for goal and she’s certainly one to watch as the season progresses. 👀⚡️

Unfortunately, Zoie also fell victim to a knee injury during our FA Cup match.
After a few weeks of rest and recovery, we’re looking forward to seeing Zoie back on the pitch and doing what she does best causing defenders problems! 🧡🖤

Get well soon, Zoie! 💪

THE ATTACK IS READY. THE STEELWOMEN ARE READY. 🧡🖤

INTRODUCING OUR WIDE PLAYERS FOR THE 26/27 SEASON 🖤🧡💙

The heart of the pitch.

Our wide players bring width, energy and attacking threat, while working tirelessly to track back, defend and support the team. With pace, stamina, determination and quality, we’re delighted to have four talented players ready to make their mark in the wingback role this season. 🧡🖤

#3 Tori Colley — RETAINED 🧡
Tori has continued to grow in confidence, earning more game time and embracing the demands of the wingback role. Her hard work, commitment and willingness to learn have been clear throughout her development.

Comfortable contributing at both ends of the pitch, Tori has already shown her attacking threat by getting herself on the scoresheet. We’re excited to see her continue progressing and playing an important role this season. ⚽️

#10 Jesse Hadley — NEW SIGNING 🆕
Jesse has trained with the team since the spring and has quickly shown why she is such an exciting young talent. Her pace, ability and understanding of the game have stood out during training and preseason.

Jesse has already contributed to our goal tally and brings plenty of energy and attacking intent to the wide areas. She turns 16 in November, making her eligible for competitive football with the Steelwomen and we can’t wait to see her get started! 🧡🖤

#11 Millie-Jo Rickard — NEW SIGNING 🆕
Known to the gaffer from previous teams, MJ has settled into the squad brilliantly and has quickly become a valued member of the group. Her energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude make her a fantastic presence both on and off the pitch.

MJ has been working hard to develop her wingback game, showing a willingness to learn and improve. With her determination and team-first approach, she’ll be an important part this season. 🧡🖤

#20 Shanan Bala — NEW SIGNING 🆕
Shan joined us in April and has quickly made her mark within the squad. Her determination, commitment and ability to read the game have stood out during preseason, helping her become a reliable and hardworking presence in the wide areas.
Shan brings energy, discipline and intent to the team, while also showing her eye for goal by getting herself on the scoresheet. We’re excited to see her continue making an impact throughout the season. ⚽️

🧡🖤 THE WIDE PLAYERS — READY TO RUN THE FLANKS.

INTRODUCING OUR MIDFIELD — 2026/27

⚽ THE HEART OF THE PITCH ⚽

The midfield is where the game is won — controlling the tempo, breaking up play, creating chances and providing the link between defence and attack. Our midfielders bring energy, strength, determination and plenty of quality to the heart of our team. 🧡

🆕 #7 Emma Chambers NEW SIGNING!

Emma joined us in June and has made a fantastic impression during pre-season. A tough, no-nonsense midfielder who isn’t afraid to put herself about, Emma brings power, determination and a real attacking threat. And she certainly knows how to strike a ball! 💥⚽
Her long-range efforts have already found the back of the net during pre-season, giving us a glimpse of what she can bring to the team.

🆕 #12 Herah Noor - NEW SIGNING!

One of our final summer signings, Herah has shown great potential since joining the Steelwomen. Very coachable, eager to learn and willing to develop her game, Herah has settled into the squad brilliantly and fitted in with the team from day one. A player with plenty of potential and one we’re excited to see develop throughout the season. 🧡

🧡 #14 Sophie Jones - RETAINED

Last season’s Players’ Player of the Season, Sophie was always going to be one we wanted to keep and we’re delighted she’s back for another season!
A true workhorse in the middle of the pitch, Sophie brings energy, commitment and consistency to every game. She battles for every ball, covers ground, breaks up opposition attacks and keeps things moving in midfield.

🖤 THE HEART OF THE PITCH.
🧡 THE ENGINE ROOM.

🧤INTRODUCING BILSTON TOWN WOMEN’S GOALKEEPERS 🧤
2026/27 SEASON

We’re incredibly lucky to have two fantastic goalkeepers joining us for the 2026/27 season — and both are new to Bilston Town Women FC. 🧤⚽️

🧤 #1 LEAH SOUTHALL
Leah first came to Bilston Town to play in our charity match in May, held at Bescot Stadium, the home of Walsall FC.
Playing on a big stage, surrounded by people she didn’t know, Leah immediately showed us exactly what she could do.
Tall, athletic and never afraid to put her body on the line, she certainly made an impression. 💪🧤
Since then, Leah has settled into the squad brilliantly, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the team this season.

Welcome to Bilston, Leah! 🧡

🧤 #17 FAYE JONES
Faye joined Bilston Town during pre-season and has quickly shown what a fantastic addition she is to the squad.
A confident, strong and commanding goalkeeper, Faye brings plenty of presence between the sticks and is always ready to contribute to the team.

But Faye isn’t just a goalkeeper! 👀⚽️
She’s also more than capable of playing outfield and has done so on several occasions during pre-season, most notably scoring FIVE goals in one match! 🔥⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Unfortunately, Faye picked up an ankle injury during our pre-season match against Dudley Town and is now facing a stint on the sidelines.
Everyone at Bilston is behind you, Faye! 🧡
We can’t wait to see you back on the pitch and doing what you do best! 🧤⚽️

Two goalkeepers. One squad. One team.

🧤 Safe hands. 🧤

INTRODUCING OUR DEFENCE 2026/27

The Steelwomen are ready for another season, and we’re delighted to introduce our defensive line-up for our 2026/27 campaign in the Tier 7 Premier Division. 🔥

🛡️ #4 Vikki Shaw — Captain
Retained for another season, our captain leads from the back with experience, composure and determination. A true leader who sets the standards on and off the pitch. 🧡

🛡️ #5 Isobel Roper
Retained for another season after joining last Christmas. A versatile player who can operate at both ends of the pitch.
sadly Izzy suffers with a rare long term injury in both her legs that can impact her time on the pitch. Primarily a defender, but plays as an attacking threat as a striker for Bilston, Izzy gives the team valuable flexibility and can step back into defence whenever needed. 💪

🛡️ #6 Jess Bates
Retained for another season. A tough, no-nonsense defender who doesn’t shy away from a challenge. Strong, determined and always ready to put her body on the line for the team. 🧱
Sadly, Jess suffered a knee injury during last Sunday’s FA Cup match and will now face a spell on the sidelines while she focuses on her recovery.
Jess is a huge part of the team, and we know she’ll be missed on the pitch. 💪🧡
Everyone at Bilston Town Women is behind you, Jess! 🖤🧡

🛡️ #19 Shelly Jones
Retained for another season. Another key member of last season’s squad, Shelly joined towards the end of last season & she returns to build on her comeback following knee surgery in July 2025. Her experience will strengthen our back line once again. Strong, committed and always ready for the battle. 🖤

🆕 #15 Siobhan Peplow NEW SIGNING!
New to Bilston Town Women this season, Siobhan has already shown exactly what she’s capable of. Strong, fit and determined, she has the ability to read the game, intercept attacks and shut down opposition threats. 💥

Five players. One defensive unit. 🧱

Ready to defend the Steelwomen badge. 🧡🖤

Welcome to the 2026/27 defence!
