Unique Movez Dance Collective is a community‑led, culturally rooted dance CIC in the West Midlands, United Kingdom. We build confidence, connection and creative futures through classes, projects, school partnerships (outreach) and wellbeing‑focused creative arts. Founded in 2018 with the support of The King's Trust and later established as a community interest company in 2023, with the support of WMCA and Access to Business.

We’re excited to welcome back the brilliant DJ for our Express Ya Self 3rd Anniversary Community Dance Celebration! 💜💛💙

iMantus, better known by his stage name DJ Psykhomantus, is an international DJ, turntablist and recording artist. His musical beats span across styles from Hip-Hop to Funk, Soul and Break Beats to Soulful House and Broken Beat. 🎶

Taking his musical beats and inspiration from the arts, to live on stage. Live on stage with B-Side Hip-Hop Festival Talawa Presents and more

DJ Imantus supported us at our 2025 event, helping to create the atmosphere, rhythm and energy that made the day so special. Now he’s returning to help us celebrate another year of dance, culture, community and connection. 🙌🏾✨

Get ready for live music, feel-good energy and sounds to keep the celebration moving. From the first beat to the final moment, DJ Imantus will help us create a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy themselves, express their individuality and celebrate together. 🎧🔥

10 days to go and we’re excited to welcome Jazzy Jamrock / Birmingham Steppas to our Express Ya Self 3rd Anniversary Community Dance Celebration! 🇯🇲💃🏾
Born and raised in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Jazzy’s passion for dance began in high school and led to four years as part of the entertainment team at a five-star hotel in Jamaica.

Since moving to the UK in 2021, he has continued sharing authentic Jamaican Dancehall culture through teaching, performance and community-building. He has performed and worked alongside artists including Stylo G, Iwaata, Valiant, Spice and Shenseea.

In 2025, Jazzy was honoured with the REYAC Award for Best Male Performer and performed with Shenseea at the MOBO Awards. 🏆✨
Now, he continues to inspire people from all backgrounds through dance — spreading joy, energy and culture through movement.
Join us as we celebrate our anniversary through Dancehall, community, connection and cultural expression. 🌍🔥

Unique Movez Dance Collective CIC is celebrating 3 years of community impact, and we're looking for 2–3 friendly, reliable volunteers to help make our anniversary celebration a memorable one.

⭐ FOUNDER UPDATE | TEDx Speaker 🎤 ⭐

I’m proud to share that as a Founder of Unique Movez, I am now officially a TEDx speaker — a moment that means so much to me as a creative leader, and advocate for lived experience.

🩰 From being that shy 4-year-old girl at the back of the dance floor… to now taking centre stage and sharing my journey as a dyslexic and autistic dancer.

🎤 My talk: Dyslexia, Dance, Autism and Me

This moment did not happen overnight. It took time, dedication, faith, consistency, mentorship, and a willingness to keep refining my voice.

As the founder of Unique Movez Dance Collective CIC, I know how powerful it is to create spaces where expression, inclusion, and lived experience are valued. This TEDx opportunity reflects those same values. unique tay - uk dance blog

💡 My talk begins with the phrase:
“Two steps forward, slide to the left, side tap, side tap”
— words that hold so much of my story.

I’m deeply grateful to the TEDxWolverhampton
organising team, the volunteers, and the incredible speakers I shared this experience with. And to Arena Theatre that hosted it, a place connected to my early years in performing arts.
