I use a performance driven ethos where the golfer’s scoring ability is at the forefront of everything I do. To do this I use , and live high-speed cameras to get an objective perspective on a player’s game. Using this method means I can make decisions based on factual data that can have the most appropriate effect to the student’s ability to play better golf.

Swaying off the ball can cause lots of issues with striking the ball consistently. Here I’m explaining what swaying looks like and a method to start to improve it. Using an object to the side of your hip can give great feedback for both your practice swings and the shot itself.

Having your hips move excessively to the left in the downswing is called a ‘slide’. This can have the effect of moving the head backwards. In all that movement, body rotation suffers, and the hands become more active. Here is a way to think about improving this… moving the head/chest to the left as you start down. This should load your left knee which can then be used to encourage hip rotation and not hip slide.

Here is an example of how our starting position can have a huge effect on our ability to swing the club. Being too close and having the balance in the heels caused this client issues which resulted in a shank. Give yourself the best chance to swing the club by ensuring your set-up is as good as it can be.
