Knight School of Dance

Knight School of Dance The Knight School of Dance was established in 1986 by Alison Knight after completing a three-year dance teacher training course.

Ballet, Tap, Modern & Acrobatic dance classes for children 3-18yrs and adults and older learners Classes structured with the reputable RAD and ISTD syllabi with quality, inspiring and experienced teaching. She continues to further her knowledge and qualifications by attending regular courses and has gained dance teaching qualifications with the 'Royal Academy of Dance' (RAD) and the 'Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing' (ISTD) examining bodies and holds Registered Teacher status with both organizations.

Pupils are encouraged to have fun whilst learning a variety of skills which will not only help with their dance interests, but will equip them with key life-skills for any workplace. Enjoy learning an awareness of good posture and technique, self-discipline and a sense of commitment with a love for dance and music in a safe and happy environment.

This summer term we were proud to showcase a selection of dances from our 40th anniversary show Ruby Reflections at Nine Mile Ride’s summer fete. Despite the scorching temperatures we’ve had this summer we were able to perform on this occasion! ☀️💃 Well done to our pupils for performing so well!! 👏

We were very pleased to support Friends of Nine Mile Ride Primary School Fayre on Saturday with our stall and mini performance (photos to follow). Well done everyone for dancing brilliantly in the heat and to our chaperones and helpers too.

At the Fayre I was asked to meet Clive Jones MP who presented me with a copy of an Early Day Motion, tabled on 30th June!! Not sure how he found out about our 40th Anniversary show, but maybe the press release in Wokingham Today.

We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our audience for purchasing raffle tickets at our recent show ‘Ruby Reflections’ at the Whitty Theatre on 2 & 3 May.

We raised a fantastic £700 for the local charity The Cowshed -Wokingham .
