4 months ago, this was just an idea.

A vision to create something that would help young people become fitter, more confident and more resilient.

Today, NO BS Kids Crew™ is growing, with young athletes turning up every week ready to challenge themselves, support each other and discover what they’re truly capable of.

The goal has never been to create another fitness class.

The goal is to create opportunities.

Opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop life skills and learn that they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.

We’re only just getting started.

This is why I keep doing this.

People see the exercises.
The races.
The games.
The HYROX training.

But what they don’t always see is what these sessions give back to me.

I absolutely love coaching these kids.

Every week they turn up with energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to give things a go.

Over the last few months we’ve built something far bigger than a fitness session.

We’ve built friendships.
Trust.
Confidence.
And a real sense of community.

Watching them encourage each other, support each other, and grow in belief is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.

As a coach, there are moments that remind you why you started.

For me, these sessions are full of those moments.

The workout lasts an hour.

The impact lasts much longer.

And honestly, these kids bring a huge amount of joy into my life every single week.

No BS.
Just building stronger, more confident young people.

Kids are always watching.

Not what we say.

What we do.

If we want our children to value health, effort, resilience and confidence, we have to demonstrate those behaviours ourselves.

The example we set at home will always be more powerful than any coaching session, PE lesson or motivational speech.

That’s not criticism.

It’s responsibility.

What example are we setting?

The longer I coach, the more I realise this…

People improve faster in the right environment.

Where they feel:

- supported
- challenged
- accountable
- part of something

That applies to:
kids,
beginners,
HYROX athletes,
and everyday people just trying to become better.

The sessions matter.

But the environment matters more.

No BS.
Just proper coaching.

Community is bigger than fitness.

One of the best things I’m seeing right now isn’t just people getting fitter… it’s the environment being created around it.

Kids encouraging each other.
Parents connecting.
Young athletes learning leadership, accountability and confidence through training.

Then seeing that same support carry over into the adult sessions too.

Yesterday one of my clients hit their first ever pull-up. Massive moment. Not just physically, but mentally as well.

That’s what real training communities do. They build people, not just fitness.

And in a world where a lot of people feel disconnected, having somewhere that pushes you, supports you and keeps you accountable matters more than ever. 💪

Pressure isn’t bad, it’s the key to unlocking your potential. Whether it’s meeting deadlines at work or competing in sports, it’s the push that helps us rise to the occasion. I’ve seen it in coaching, racing, and even in the military.

When the stakes are high, we perform better. But remember, it’s about channeling that pressure positively. It’s not about perfection; it’s about doing your best and enjoying the journey.

Confidence grows from facing challenges. Every time you push through discomfort, you’re building a stronger version of yourself. So embrace pressure, lean into it, and watch yourself soar.
