It’s that time of the month again.

Not that one... the other one. The time when my fitness coach sends me a four-week progress questionnaire. 😏

Every month I sigh, procrastinate… and then do it anyway. Because I hired him for a reason: accountability works better than good intentions.

Funny how many people say coaching is “too expensive” while dropping £4 on a daily coffee or £30 on takeaways.

They’ll happily spend on beauty fixes, designer leggings, and self-help books they never finish… but when it comes to getting expert guidance for their health, suddenly YouTube tutorials and a prayer feel like enough.

And yet...

✅ Walking is free.
✅ Frozen veg costs less than a meal deal.
✅ A carton of eggs will fuel you for days.

don't get me wrong, they’re great places to start, but real change happens when you add structure, progression, and accountability.

💡 Don’t Temu your health. It’s the most valuable thing you’ll ever own.

Midlife mental health deserves more honesty.

For many women, peri-menopause isn’t just hot flushes; it’s memory slips, spiralling anxiety, and stress that feels overwhelming.

Why?

Because the hormones that once protected against stress have declined.

It’s not weakness. It’s biology.

And once we see it for what it is, we can stop blaming ourselves and start building strategies.

And it hit me: that’s how a lot of us operate.

Outwardly capable. Inwardly stuck in the same stories and reactions.

👉 Muscles get tight.
👉 Emotions get stuck.
👉 Patterns repeat.

Strength without flexibility is a trap.

In the body and in the mind.

The stars are aligning. The vibes are vibing. Mercury’s spinning in reverse, probably wearing glitter.

Some say this is the ultimate portal for manifesting your highest self.

I say: cool story.

But unless that portal’s handing me protein and spotting my deadlifts, I’m going to keep doing things the old-fashioned way: with effort.

So go ahead, charge your crystals, align your chakras, howl at the moon if it helps…

Just don’t forget: the most magical transformation still starts with showing up and lifting something heavier than your excuses.
