….. the end of training! 31km today.

Added an extra week of running as had 2 weeks off due to illness.

Not quite where I wanted to be at 8 days before race day but that’s life.

The 3 kids, full time job, small business, life stuff juggle makes marathon training even harder a due to limited ‘spare’ time. Also being 5 years older than my last one deffo makes a difference.

No expectations for this run other than to enjoy the 26.2 mile street party in my fave city and get to the finish line to collect the race bling.

Through Insta I have ‘met’ some fab fellow runners, on both sides of the Atlantic pond, who I’ll be meeting and hopefully running with on the day. The running community is so welcoming, supportive and caring.

NEW YORK NEW YORK I’m coming to conquer you.

11 years ago today I did my first ever marathon!!!!

A hot sunny day in Bournemouth. .

I’ve run another 2 since then and have my fourth in 4 weeks!

I’m not gonna lie, it’s A LOT harder training for this marathon.

I’m 11 years older and had another kid since that first marathon. I also have a full time job, my own business and the daily kids logistics to fit training around! Mentally, physically and logistically is sooo much harder.

I’ve not set any expectations for other than to enjoy, soak up the atmosphere and make it to the finish line in one piece.

Its on the bucket list and I’m making it happen - I’m running The Big 🍎 .

Call me crazy, but every year I do a big physical and mental challenge to raise money for charities close to my heart. This one for me is a biggy. Running in the biggest marathon in my favourite city!!

I was so lucky to get a ballot place. First time trying (in 10 years of trying never got a ballot place!!), so this makes this run even more special. It’s also near my birthday so the perfect excuse. 🤗

The real reason this year is to raise money for 2 very special (small) charities and . Both have massively helped our family and close friends. Very apt posting today as today marks the first day of

Wow 2 years ago! Miss these classes and the 100s of wonderful people I met through them. Luckily many are still friends today.
Absolute pleasure running those classes 😍

Buggyworkout goodbye 😢

Wow - 6 years ago I got a break - the offer to run Buggyworkout. I was a third time mum with a young baby, building a new career and re-engaging with the wonderful Wi******er post natal community after a few years away.

Running these classes has been an absolute joy. Great challenge to help me with my big career change. Threw me into the world of running my own business after 15 years in corporate world. Helped me increase my fitness knowledge and experience.

However the BIGGEST joy was all the absolutely wonderful people I’ve met in class. Many of whom are now great friends. 100s of mums have come to class over the years. Many with second and third babies.

The chats, the tears, the support (especially through covid) and most of all the constant LAUGHTER.

The emotional and lovely DMs about the classes I’ve had over the years kept me going and cemented that I was doing ok.

I am sad this chapter is closing for me. But I know with the truly wonderful Lauren, who is in a similar place to me when I took over, the classes are in the safest hands. She is amazing at what she does and I will enjoy watching these classes continue to thrive and help many more Wi******er mums.

There will be some behind the scene changes this weekend and those with class passes will contacted by email about what is happening with their pass.

Gotta love a club! Are you orange or mint?

60 mins from my desk, to donate and back to my desk to save 6 babies lives.

My blood goes to neonatal babies . It’s sent off straight away to Bristol (spookily just up the road from my old uni house), filtered and split into 6 packs and zoomed off to help very ill babies.

60 mins of my day!!!

Anyone looking to get back in to netball or just get involved in a team sport, come and join us! We have spaces on teams for new players. Doesn’t matter if you haven’t played for yonks - we’re all learning again (I hadn’t played since primary school until a few months ago and am absolutely loving it again).

Here's a bit of info about the group and how you can get involved :

When - Thursday evenings
Time - 7pm - 9pm (Match times vary between these times)

We must remember. 🌺

My grandad fought on the beaches of Dunkirk as a young 20 year old man. He rarely spoke about it as it was so traumatic. He lost all his friends that day.

We cannot possibly fathom or comprehend what these young men did for our country (and not by choice). .

Their bravery, determination and selflessness will never be matched.

We MUST remember and we MUST honour.
