Corporate workshops, webinars and employee support I cut through the sensational headlines and overwhelming marketing by listening to my clients situations and needs to offer them practical dietary and lifestyle solutions to boost their energy levels and empower the

m to be the best possible versions of themselves and enable their whole families to thrive. I’ve always loved cooking and eating, but nutrition became an interest of mine in my early 20’s after I discovered the full impact it had on my health and energy as I embarked on a fast-paced city career. Fast forward a decade, and my interest was transformed into a true passion by the responsibility of bringing into this world and raising my two boys. This gave me the opportunity and courage to step away from what I was doing and turn my passion into a new career that could help others to also experience the power of food. Wow what a scorcher I’m being treated to here in the UK ☀️
I thought I’d pop my nutritionist hat back on and share a few ideas for using Watermelon to keep cool and hydrated.

At over 90% water, it goes without saying that watermelon hydrates. It’s also a naturally structured water which is easier for the body to absorb steadily too.

And don’t forget that with all the sweating we lose minerals too - watermelon is a great source of potassium and magnesium (although it doesn’t contain sodium so don’t forget to get this from something else alongside!)

1. Watermelon smoothie - simply blend it up from chilled, ideally with a little ice and voila! A delicious naturally thirst-quenching drink

2. Simply watermelon with other juicy fruits - try kiwi for some flavor, or juicy melon

3. Watermelon makes a great addition to spice up a salad. Try it paired with some tasty feta (a great source of sodium) on top of leaves and other greens and sprinkled in pumpkin seeds for extra crunch - a brilliant summertime lunch

4. Watermelon “pizza” - got fussy little ones that are struggling in the heat? Let them jazz up their own pizza slices with berries and dried fruits, you can stick them ok with some almond or peanut butter or a drizzle of chocolate ice cream sauce 😋 It’s also a great activity to do inside in the shade

How are you all staying cool and hydrated? I’d love to hear your tips too!

I’ve been thinking a lot about the world today, and the lives we lead and the expectations society places on us and we place on ourselves, and how truly and honestly we spend so much of our lives not even knowing who we really are let alone being them.

That’s really why I created Unplug to Recharge. A truly magical retreat that gives not just a pause but a reset to. Really it should be called that - Unplug to Reset. Because you will return home different but in the very best possible way.

Just a little reminder for you today… all the things I love right now - slow living, nature, daylight, not doing my actual work 😂
