This time last week we had the pleasure of welcoming congletonrufc_women for a mini tour!

A Saturday night of lots of fun followed by a Sunday morning training match. A fabulous occasion with some great plays and bad heads on both sides!

We're looking forward to seeing you again next year for more laughs and hopefully some rugby as well 💚❤️

Starting on the 6th of August, 6:30pm at Wigton Rugby Club!

With our fixtures for our Inner Warrior Series out and those for our Cumbria Touch League soon to come it's the perfect time to come down and give it a go. From 6:30pm all you need is yourself, a pair of trainers and be ready to have fun!

Wigton women would like to say a huge thank you to Chris Smith on his time coaching us!

Chris has been a central part to coaching both the touch and contact teams. With highlights including a 2nd place finish in the Cumbria Touch league, fielding Wigton's first ever contact women's team and then shepherding them to a win in their inaugural season. Without his dedication, commitment and support the team would not be in such a position to continue and thrive as it has done under him.

And with that our 25/26 season is over!

Our final touch tournament opened with a hard fought loss against Cockermouth, an even bigger challenge against Silloth, followed by a beating by the eventual league champions Arlecdon. However, after some dusting off, we succeeded at getting a result on the day with a draw against Keswick!

Congratulations to our player of the tournament Charlotte Haigh who has become a consistent feature on the wing this season with her speed defensively and attackingly!

A major thank you to the Workington Zebra Finches that helped bolster us for this last tournament with their fresh legs and skills!

Come on down to Wigton Rugby Club and get your quiz heads on! With the bar opening from 7pm, the quiz starting at 7:30pm and some warm snacks available there's no better place to be...

There is a standard rate of £5 for a team of 4 but an extra £2 charge for each additional teammate. Maximum team size is 6. So why not just enter two!
