Standish Panthers Supernovas are still looking for a U10s Head Coach! ⚽

With the squad already taking shape for the 2026/27 season, we’re looking for the final piece of the puzzle to help support and develop a fantastic group of players within a great club.

Are you:

* A parent with a daughter in Year 4 or Year 5 who would like to get involved and try coaching?
* A college or university leaver with a passion for football and a desire to inspire the next generation?
* Someone enthusiastic, committed, and keen to make a positive impact in girls’ football?

No matter your experience level, support and guidance will be available.

🏆 WGFL U13s Champions Final

Champions: FCB Hoops

A repeat of last year’s final, and it certainly did not disappoint!

From the first whistle to the last, it was a fiercely contested encounter, with both FCB Hoops and Wolves going toe-to-toe in an outstanding final. The game ebbed and flowed throughout, with both sides creating chances and showing great determination.

Just like last season’s final, the match finished 0-0 after normal time. There were opportunities at both ends, but the goalkeepers were simply on another level today — a huge credit to themselves and their teams for some incredible saves.

So, it came down to penalties…

With neither side willing to give an inch, the shootout could have gone either way before eventually heading into sudden death.

In the end, FCB Hoops held their nerve and emerged victorious.

Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic final, and well done to FCB Hoops, our WGFL U13s Champions Final winners! 🏆⚽👏

WGFL U13s Europa League Final 🏆

Champions: Newton Le Willows

A fantastic final contested from start to finish, with two different styles of football on display and Golborne Aces taking the game right to the very end.

Both teams played their part in an exciting and competitive match, showcasing great determination, skill, and teamwork throughout.

Newton Le Willows stayed focused under pressure and came away deserved 4-3 champions on the day.

Congratulations to both teams on a brilliant final, and well done to everyone involved! ⚽👏🏆

Champions: Walton North End

A fantastic final between two excellent teams.

Congratulations to Pine Villa on reaching their second final in as many seasons. Your consistency and commitment continue to shine through.

Walton North End have been an impressive force since joining the league, and today they demonstrated exactly why, producing a superb team performance and playing at a fantastic level throughout the final.

Well done to everyone involved!

A huge thank you to our match officials for their hard work and dedication throughout the competition.

And finally, a special good luck message to our OG referee, Mia G. We wish you all the very best as you head to America. We can’t wait to see you back in England and continuing to make a positive impact on girls’ football at an even wider level.

Saturday’s League Cup Finals promise a huge day of football:

* Pine Villa return to the Europa Final, this time facing Walton North End
* Newton Le Willows take on Golborne Aces
* And in a rematch of last season’s Champions Final, FCB Hoops face Burscough Wolves

A brilliant way to close out the season, and it already sounds like Year 3 is going to be even bigger.
