Big weekend ahead for the Shevington Sharks U8s.

We’ve got 2 exciting fixtures lined up:

🦈 On Saturday we travel to Westhoughton Lions Rugby League as we face Orrell St James & Westhoughton Lions

🦈 On Sunday we are heading to Hindley as we face Hindley Stags Golds & Ince Rose Bridge

A brilliant way to wrap up this first set of festival fixtures lots of rugby, lots of smiles, and plenty of fun for everyone involved!

Big changes ahead for Shevington Sharks U8s this season as our squad continues to grow! 🙌

With fantastic numbers, we’re now transitioning into two teams and adapting to festival-style fixtures, an exciting step for everyone involved.

Today was a busy one as we hosted Westhoughton Lions and Orrell St James at Vicarage Lane, while another group travelled to Ince Rose Bridge to face Hindley Stags Golds.

Across both locations, the teams were brilliant. There was some excellent footwork on display, real improvement in passing and tagging, and great awareness in finding space. Line speed is also really starting to sharpen up it’s great to see the hard work paying off!

A big thank you to Ince Rose Bridge Sports and Community Club for hosting, and well done to everyone at Vicarage Lane as we got to grips with the festival format and the larger numbers involved.

What a brilliant morning for Shevington Sharks U8’s at home against Thatto Heath Crusaders U8’s 2026

It was a pleasure to see our good friends from Thatto ,they always bring a great game, and a big shoutout to Westhoughton, some new friends for us, for jumping in to join us and help make up the numbers

Huge night last night for our sharks. Our Under 12’s invited us to help wave the team flags before the Wigan Warriors and Leigh Leopards match.
Massive thanks to Superfly Sports Flags for providing the zip ups to keep them all warm on a cold Thursday night and thanks to Shevington Sharks ARLFC for helping give all our junior teams unbelievable experiences! 🔴🔵🦈

What a brilliant night we had celebrating our amazing Shevington Sharks Under 7s! 🦈💙❤️

A huge thank you to our fantastic coaching team for all the time, effort and encouragement you’ve given the team this season, the progress the kids have made is incredible and that’s down to the work our amazing coaches do!👏

To all the parents and families, thank you for your support, commitment and cheers on the sidelines every single week. It truly makes a difference! 🤩

Most importantly, a massive well-done to the kids! They’ve played with smiles, teamwork and determination from start to finish. The development this season has been outstanding and we couldn’t be prouder. ⭐️

The presentation night was full of fun, celebration and Sharks spirit! A perfect way to end the season. 🏆🎉

That’s a wrap on an amazing first full season for our U7s!

Our young Sharks played their final match of the season today and have been fantastic from start to finish. A huge thank you to our brilliant coaches and supportive parents, you’ve all been incredible.

What an amazing set of players we have! They have worked hard, improved so much, and most importantly, had plenty of fun along the way!

Enjoy the rest, Sharks — you’ve earned it! We’re already looking forward to the presentation in a few weeks. 🔴🔵🦈
