🚨Raiders Match Report🚨
The Raiders kicked off their U10s season this weekend as they welcomed Moorside Rangers to Kildare Street.
Theo in goal had another good game, making some great saves, while his big kicks were used well to get us downfield. He was very unlucky not to come away with a clean sheet.
James started in defence but played in a number of positions throughout the game and gave his all in every one. He brought plenty of aggression to his tackles and linked up really well with his teammates.
Harley also in defence was his usual self, tackling everything he could. He looked much calmer on the ball, taking a touch and finding the right pass, showing that all the hard work he's been putting in is paying off.
Kaiden on the wing worked tirelessly, getting the Raiders forward but also putting in the effort to get back and help his team, including a brilliant last-ditch clearance off the line. His passing was fantastic and he carried the ball brilliantly, just like we've been asking him to do more often. He capped off a great performance with two brilliant goals.
Kian in centre midfield was a real workhorse. His strong tackles helped keep Moorside at bay and allowed us to get on the attack. His passing was pinpoint as usual, including a brilliant ball through for Joe to score early in the game.
Joe played on the wing and in centre midfield and worked hard wherever he was asked to play, once again showing what a great addition he has been to the team. He finished of five fantastic goals. One of the highlights saw him take on half the team, carry the ball brilliantly downfield and calmly slot it past the keeper. His link up play with his teammates was brilliant throughout.
Harry started the match up front but also did a stint on the wing. He was his usual self, pressing Moorside at every opportunity, which helped the Raiders score very early in the game. He looked dangerous every time he had the ball at his feet and played some great passes through for his teammates. He also got his tally for the season up and running with two well taken goals.
Jaxon the first game changer of the day, came on and made an instant impact. He linked up really well with his teammates and played some great passes. We can see his confidence growing week by week and he topped off a brilliant performance by bagging himself a hat-trick with three great finishes.
Aidan another game changer, came on and made a real impact. He looked dangerous every time he went forward and showed some brilliant skill with the ball at his feet. He was very unlucky not to get himself on the scoresheet.
Lewis another game changer, showed once again just how much he has come on. He made tackle after tackle for his team, including some brilliantly timed last ditch challenges. He also played some great balls forward to get us on the attack.
Thomas our final game changer, returned from a toe injury. He made some good tackles when needed and was much firmer with his passing going forward.
A fantastic start to the Under 10s season for the Raiders. We asked the lads to start quickly and they did exactly that. The link up play between them was fantastic to watch and we can only see it going from strength to strength as the season goes on. We can't wait to see how much these lads progress again this season.

🏆Parents Player went to Kaiden who looked dangerous every time he got on the ball and his last ditch clearance off the line showed just how hard he worked for his team all game. A brilliant performance.
🏆 Player of the match went to Jaxon who worked hard throughout, got himself into some fantastic positions going forward and capped off a brilliant performance with a hat-trick.
