Weather held, everyone had their weetabix, and the gaffer went to a committee meeting! 🤦♀️
The stakes were high, we needed a win, and nothing was coming between the team and 3 points! Just to prove how much of a bad luck charm I'd been, they went and smashed expectations!
Morgan, Meg, Laura, Xenia, Lauren and Bec applied their war paint, talked to one another, passed that ball between their feet, kept the ball high and in the opposition's side, and made defence look like a well oiled machine
We chucked Tish in goal, and with her speed, height, and blooming long legs, she did exactly as asked and kept the balls out of our net.
The Gaffer sat in a committee meeting discussing fences and lawn mowers, but declared it needed to be minuted how proud she was of this incredible team, and how she would probably need to sit in the car for future games as we're on a roll and we're not jinxing anything!
Ladies, your heads should be held as tall as Everest. My heart is bursting with pride, and I've got all emotional!
Onwards and upwards, we continue to climb.
