MYTH: "Coaches only work with Elite runners and I'm not fast so working with a coach wouldn't benefit me"

100% not true!

A good coach can really guide athletes of any ability to progress and to help them achieve their goals, whatever they are.

Don't believe me? Well, read Lynsey's review after 3 months working together!

I've been asking some of my runners for feedback over the last few days, which isn't always the most comfortable experience but a crucial part of the coaching process especially for a new venture like mine.

I'm going to be sharing some of that feedback over the next few days/weeks and also announcing some new offers to take us up to Christmas and into 2026 so if you're thinking on taking the plunge or just have a running question that's been niggling, dont hesitate to get in touch.

Having that event in the short/medium/long term can provide a target to aim for and can really give some much needed motivation to get you out the door or to complete a tough session.

I've posted before about approaches to training when a setback gets in the way but it's pertinent for me at the moment so you'll have to indulge me...

We all know that life gets in the way sometimes and that running isnt always the number 1 priority. So what to do? Full on toys out of the pram moment (yes, completely acceptable sometimes!) Or work with what we can control and manage? Definitely the best option most of the time is to reevaluate and control our controllables. I'd definitely be going slightly mad at the moment if i expected to go and run for any length of time and have had to go through a "rebasing" mental adjustment with much much lower goals. Hard to do when we're chasing a specific goal but longer term it might be the right decision.

Today's aim was a short walk with one crutch around the pond in the park ✅️
