It is the intention of Widdrington Gun Club to provide affordable clay shooting to the ordinary shooter in a friendly and convivial way. CLUB INFORMATION:
Widdrington Gun Club came to it's present location on Old Felton Lane just off the 1068 Coastal Route Nr Widdrington, Northumberland in
2008 after being relocated from its former site (300 yards away) which it had held since Approx 1972, with just a handful of members. It has continued to grow in strength, providing affordable Sporting,S***t and Trap shooting to the working shooter. The club caters for the beginner to the more experienced shot. The club has a section 11(6) from Northumbria police which allows none certificate holders to shoot at artificial targets, provided they are accompanied by a responsible person. Cartridges are available on the ground upon proof of a current shotgun certificate in accordance with section 5 of the fi****ms acts. GENERAL INFORMATION
The club shoots every Sunday throughout the year and some Wednesday nights from April (depending on the light) - Sept also. Hot beverages and sandwiches are available on Sundays,
The type of shooting taking place varies but runs to the following format
1st Sunday of the month 25 S***t and either 25DTL or 30 Sporting
2nd Sunday of the month 50 Sporting
3rd Sunday of the month 25 DTL and 25 ABT
4th Sunday of the month is normally a club competition (open to non members also but as birds only, However, complete novice non members may not shoot)
Where a 5 week month occurs the 4th week becomes any of the above and the 5th Sunday is competition day
Whilst we are open from 09:00 until 12:30, Last check in is 09:45
This is a STRICT cut off point for signing in....
