Bruce and Craig

Bruce and Craig will set off from Lands End on Sunday 22nd May to ride the length of the UK in 14 days, finishing in John o Groats on Saturday 4th June. Supported by back up Driver and logistics expert Andy (Craig's Dad), they will be traveling light, with the aid of the support van for snacks, food and to carry the kit. The planned route will see the boys average 80 miles a day for the full durat

ion of the trip. Starting in the South of the UK, the first part of the journey will take us through England, before crossing the border and riding to Ardrossan. From here, we will not be following the conventional route in Scotland, instead detouring to Arran and the west, before catching the ferry to the Outer Hebrides, to cycle from Barra to the Butt of Lewis. The full route will be published once we have finished the logistics. We would delighted to welcome friends and family to join us for part or all of the journey. If you want to know more details, then feel free to drop us a message.

Well where do we start....the last two weeks have been an absolutely incredible journey, which will live with us all for a long time, so many good moments, laughter, pain, tiredness and the odd beer thrown in. It is almost impossible to sum up how we are feeling right now - it will take a few days to sink in of what we have actually achieved. We cycled 1074 miles in 13 days and climbed nearly twice the height of Everest and managing only one puncture a long the way! Not bad for a bunch of lads who met playing rugby for Portobello!

There are a few thanks we would like to share:
Firstly to the generosity of all the people who have donated including the strangers we met along the way, who put their hands in their pockets to help.

We set out to raise £2000 for the MS Therapy Centre, we not only reached our target, but smashed it. Our total, which is currently at £3,327.31 and we still have some money to come in, so hope to push that even further.

Leigh-Ann Little is absolutely delighted with the amount of funds raised and is thankful for everyone's donations and in helping to raise more awareness of the cause.

Next to our Director Sportif, Andrew Little, for getting us to the start point, keeping us fed and watered throughout the trip and giving us plenty of laughs along the way, with his “Where ya been” greeting every time we met him. To him getting lost in Preston and us sitting on our second pint when he walked in only for us to shout “where ya been!” Thanks of all your help and support, we simply wouldn’t have been able to do the trip without you and are very grateful for your help. Also thanks to Valerie Little for joining us for the second week and keeping Andy in check :) and for hosting the official after party.

To our fellow riders:
Matthew Harte - thanks for upping the average pace for a few days and bringing the pain train!

Chris Sinclair aka Biggles - leading from the front at all times with his new areo helmet and providing a cracking wind break.

Bozza Ritchie - for showing that a hybrid with panniers can do anything with a lad with big legs on it.

Blair - Mr “2 Starters”, where does that laddie put all his food? Your laughter and nonsense kept us going and great to have you along for the week

Robbie Mott- The Sheriff now with his cracking tan lines, we hope you are off to read up on the rest of the rules. Rule #22

To the rest of our family and friends, thanks for your support both prior and during the trip, it has really helped us to make this a trip of a lifetime.

Finally, we have lots of footage from the trip, that we will make into a short video and share it all with you soon. Thanks again for supporting us on our epic journey.

We have made it to Tongue after a long day, nearly 90 miles and 7,000 feet of climbing, one of the toughest days of the trip. Because we went around the Drumbeg Loop, Craig's work Wilderness Scotland have kindly donated £250, which now means that we are over the £3000 mark for fundraising! We are all so grateful to all the 100 people who have donated so far. If you haven't donated yet, then there is still time: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/LittlesLejog

Day 12: Leaving Loch Roag behind, we rode to the historic standing stones of Callanish for a quick visit, before cycling the Pentland Road into Stornoway.

We were met by tesco who provided our lunch and Jimmy, who travels to Inverness to use the Ms Therapy Centre. He was a gem of a guy and really reminded us all why we have set out on this challenge and allowing us to raise vital funds for a centre that services people from all over the Highlands.

A nice climb out of Ullapool and some busy traffic to navigate, there is an Oddball North Coast 500 car rally on the go, with lots of cars driving too fast.

We eventually made it into Lochinver around 8pm last night and got dinner at Peets. Unfortunately we were too late for the Lochinver Larder and to get the famous Pies :(

Today is going to be an epic day as we ride 88miles to Tongue and have one or two hills to deal with!!
The end is nearly insight and we are ready to push on, just over 150 miles to go. This has been an amazing journey so far and we can't believe how far we have come.

Thanks again for all the support, our fundraising looks like it is going to break the £3,000 barrier!
