Join us this Sunday for another Rua Running meet-up!

📍 Meet at the riverside
🕤 0930 start

Everyone is welcome — whether you’re a:
Walker 🚶
Jogger 🏃
Runner 👟
Supervised children are also more than welcome 👧👦
And doggos too 🐾 🐕

💚 No pressure. No expectations.
Just come along and go at your own pace.

💧 We’ll have water available, but we recommend bringing your own water too (especially if the temperature stays higher than usual for up this way 😅).

There’s something special about getting out together — encouraging each other, having a laugh, and making those miles feel that little bit easier. No pressure, just good vibes and great people! 😊

Following the positive feedback on the riverside path network improvements, Wick Development Trust are currently looking into the installation of additional lighting along the riverside to increase its use in the winter months for walkers, runners, commuters and other activities.

We need to demonstrate to funders that the improvements have the support of the local community. We would be grateful if you could take a couple minutes to complete the survey and register your support.

This morning’s rain could’ve given everyone the perfect excuse to stay home… but not this team 👏🌧️🔥

You showed up.
You pushed through.
You chose progress over comfort — and that says everything!!

Watching so many of you turn up with energy, determination, and smiles despite the weather was honestly so inspiring 💪
The community we’re building here is becoming something really special 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

And despite the rain, we welcomed 5 new members today (including our very first furry Rua member 🐾🐶) and also celebrated more well deserved PBs 👟🔥
That doesn’t happen by accident — it happens because of consistency, mindset, and the effort every single one of you is bringing!

I hope you're all proud today.
That took grit. That took commitment 👏

Join us at 09:30 at the Riverside on Sunday for another great session. Whether you want to walk, jog, run, or simply come along for the chats, everyone is welcome! 👟☕
Afterwards, let’s head to the Norseman for coffee and some post-run catch-ups.
We’re looking forward to another fantastic morning together — and hopefully the rain stays away… but we’ll be there regardless! 🌧️💪

What an incredible turnout for our second Rua Running session yesterday morning! 👟❤️

It was amazing to see so many new faces joining us as our community continues to grow. We loved welcoming people starting — or getting back into — their running journey, alongside others smashing out new 5K PBs! 🏃‍♀️🔥🏃‍♂️

And of course, finishing things off with great coffee, chats, and post-run catch-ups at the Norseman Hotel made the morning even better ☕️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and brought such a brilliant atmosphere. We hope to see you all again soon! 💪

🔥 It’s almost time for our second Rua Running session in Wick!! 🔥

📍 Meet: Sunday 10th May at 0930 by the little hut at the river (officially the quoiting shed I believe 😅)
🏃 Route: We’re sticking with our scenic river loop!
• 1 lap — perfect for walkers, run/walkers & newer runners
• 2 laps — for our 5K crew 🔥👟
☕ Afterwards: Let's celebrate the end of our social run with coffee and chats at the Norseman Hotel
