Finding time among a busy schedule:
Time constraints are a major concern for many parents. However, carving out even small pockets of time throughout the day can make a big difference.

Try scheduling mini workouts which are shorter, more frequent workouts during nap times or early mornings.

Here is and example schedule of Mini Workouts for One Day;

1. Early Mornings 4 - 8 minutes

2. During Breakfast / Lunch / Snack 4 - 8 minutes

3. During Nap - 8 - 16 minutes

This could see you working out 4, 16 or maybe even getting half hour throughout your day! 🤯

This is a little more achievable if you have a toddler aged child but not impossible with under 1 year olds.

Here are some easy tips for wins aimed at the busy parents aged 35 and older to prioritise their personal health and wellness:

1. Set Realistic Goals: Start small and gradually increase your goals over time. Aim for achievable targets to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

2. Prioritise Sleep: Make quality sleep a priority. Set a consistent sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine to improve sleep quality.

3. Nutritious Meals: Focus on balanced meals that include a variety of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Meal prep or batch cooking can save time during busy weekdays.

4. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated. Carry a refillable water bottle with you to remind yourself to drink water regularly.

5. Move More: Incorporate physical activity into your daily routine, even if it's just a short walk during breaks or taking the stairs instead of the lift when possible. Even parking that little bit further can make a tiny amount of difference. Every bit of movement counts.

Prioritising personal health, wellness and your fitness shouldn’t feel like a luxury, it's a necessity – especially for busy parents and those 35+.

With all of life's chaos, self-care becomes paramount. Whether it's carving out time for a brisk walk, indulging in nutritious meals, or simply taking a moment to breathe deeply, investing in your well-being pays dividends.

🌟 Afternoon All! 🌟

🏃‍♂️ Tackling this parent hustle is not easy but you don’t need me to tell you that! 🏃‍♀️

🚨 Today, the subject is FITNESS PLATEAUS! 🚨

To all the amazing parents and busy people out there, I know how juggling work, kids, and life can leave you feeling like you're stuck in a rut, a fitness rut as of that. 🔄 I know I’ve hit that point where it seems like my workout progress has hit a roadblock! 🚧

🔍 Here are some concerns and issues I’ve faced, facing and sure I won't be alone:

1️⃣ **The Art of Vanishing Time**: Between making time for my two under the age of 2 babies, work, and endless to-dos, finding time for a productive workout is like searching for the loch ness monster at times.

2️⃣ **Lack of Energy when Needed**: Parenting is a 24/7 job, or atleast a 14 hour shift if awake at 6am and not asleep fully until 8pm. Sometimes the last thing you want to do after a long day is sweat it out.

3️⃣ **Routine Fatigue**: Maybe, just maybe you're one of a lucky few and you manage to get your workouts completed but you're doing the same workout week in and week out? It's a quick road towards plateau valley.

Feeling like you’re stuck in a rut?
Do you face any of these issues?

1️⃣ The Art of Vanishing Time?
2️⃣ Lack of Energy when Needed?
3️⃣ Routine Fatigue?

Parenting is more than a full time job, it’s 24/7 at most times and if you have a baby and or toddlers, your looking at a day shift of 16 hours at least without pause.

So, you’re either too exhausted to think about getting a sweat on or maybe your one of a lucky few and you manage to get your workouts completed but you’re doing the same workout week in and week out?

We’re talking FITNESS PLATEAUS!

A fitness plateau is where slowed progress has entered your fitness journey. It’s like hitting a roadblock that makes it challenging to see continuous improvements in strength, endurance or your overall fitness.

There are many factors which can contribute to this which I’ll be diving deeper into during my next Newsletter.
