⏰ Early start today, paddled a couple of km’s to get off the island before the wind picked up and made it impossible.

🥐Just stopped off at a Vindskydd in the bright sunshine where it’s a balmy 7°C 🤣🤣🤣

🛶 About to ‘portage’ around a unrunnable rapid, as our wonderful instructors would like to keep us alive, (if they list one of us, it’d be far too much paperwork 🤣🤣)

This is where we’ve been today!
Started off very wet and cold, but finished on a high; sunshine, some food and great company as we found a stunning island in the middle of the river…. So we claimed it!!!! 🏕️

Thank you for your continued support and donations, every penny you give can help people who have had a cancer diagnosis, reclaim their confidence and LIVE, just as we are doing right now!!

Our backs may ache, our feet may be freezing & soggy… but we are going to be forever grateful for the experience we are having, the scenery we are witnessing and will 100% appreciate the little things and creature comforts when we get back.

Camp No.3. Pretty flipping nice tbh!!!
🏝️ We are on an island in the middle of The Hårken River.
☔️ This morning was VERY soggy!
💧 We did our first ‘portage’ across a VERY impressive dam!
☀️ Then, like a mirage, the sun came out and this beautiful island appeared!

💤 Off to bed shortly
🫐 Definitely didnt eat any of the foraged blueberries 🤣🤣🤣

We drove around 70km north and decanted from trailer, to the banks of The Harken River.

….. and away!!!
Through some rapids to start with which was exciting!! The water came over the boat, a little unnerving!!
Found the most beautiful spot to camp, all we can hear is the rumble of the rapid as we turn in!!
