Ive been quiet on here for a while now. We were enjoying the bass and I suddenly got my 1st bluefin. Everything stopped then and I became totally obsessed with them.

We found new bass marks this year and even though I only had a short spell on them I had a couple 60cm+

Tuna wise between me, my friends and a lads on the boat we managed some absolute donkeys, the biggest was 123" which went well over 1000lb on any weight table you might look at.

We're currently uptiding when the weather allows, we're always busy doing fishy stuff and boat jobs when we aren't fishing.

This week.weve replaced the potentiometer on the boat and put one of our 1st monster tuna bars together, made with a calson centre bird, 15.5" squid and 7" flank birds.

Class afternoon on the Bass yesterday, got Mt biggest of the season so far at 62cm followed by another at 49cm also had a couple more slash at my lure. My pal alex also got one.

We're hurtling fast towards to weekend, I've managed to walk out a couple of times this week around my shifts and managed a few nice fish, including a bonus sea trout! My 2nd this year.
My mate Ged has managed a few nice bass too.
We're getting big Mackerel all along the coastline now too, jumping on our bass lures.

If Carlsberg did fishing days!

The forecast was to come northerly for Wednesday so I was keen to make the most of the settled spell.
So I managed a couple of outings yesterday. I was rewarded with a nice 50cm Bass on a pencil lure, before leaving I had one more fish strike at the lure but it never hooked up!

Later, Ged and me had a walk out for dusk, the bass were a bit evasive but we both managed a sea trout each, Ged finished up in style with a schoolie bass right at the end of the night!

I caught this stunning Ballan Wrasse recently fishing inshore on a small white soft plastic with 7g lead head (I'm sure non of of you ever seen me using anything similar 😂)
It's my 1st on a lure, I usually click them when fishing at anchor in winter.

I'm keen to have another go specifically targeting them on the soft plastics.

The summer species are starting to set in now, I've been out Bassing now about 8 times. On my 6th outing I managed to get my first local bass of the year, a proper chunk at 60cm, returned for another day! Caught on an Aliexpress floating pencil lure that set me back a whopping £3 😂
