Great effort from the boys in the challenge cup semi final this morning but it wasn’t to be and we fall at the final hurdle in our quest for the Final after defeat to a good Redcar Town Royals team.
With boys moving on and coaches stepping down ,today was the last time in a Sleights shirt for the lads.
Some of them have been with sleights since age 5 mini ballers, we’ve shared some lows but also some amazing highs.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this team over the last 3 seasons and good luck to the boys who are moving to new clubs, we’re proud of every single one of you 🖤🤍

Challenge Cup Quarter final for the Under 10s lads this morning and they put in an excellent performance to move into the Semi Finals

Playing a strong Leven team who have dominated in there division this year the lads went ahead and controlled the game to win convincing. Leven were always a threat but we were just that little more clinical infront of goal.
A clean sheet for Lewis rounded off a great day.
All the boys exceptional today but opposition coaches player of the match was Riri 🏅 his energy off the ball and skill on it caused lots of problems for Leven today

We travelled to division 1 Cleveland Juniors this morning in the challenge cup last 16.

Having finished all our league games the boys went into this game knowing this could be our final game!
The effort and desire from everyone today showed they’re not ready for the season to end just yet and we progress into the quarter finals after a nail biting penalty shootout win.

All the boys fantastic today but with 3 penalty saves in the shoot out and a string of brilliant saves during the match our player of the match goes to

On the road again at Hurworth in the Challenge cup today and the boys put in an excellent performance.
Passed the ball brilliantly, constant threats from both wings and took our chances resulting in a great win.

Narrow defeat on the road at Northallerton town this morning.
Wind and rain didn’t stop the boys from giving 100% effort and we came close to snatching a late draw but just missed out. Well played Northallerton 🙌🏻
