Another fantastic weekend and another bunch of great performances by JH Running Club..

We had an army of competitors and volunteers at the BUSTINSKIN EVENTS Weymouth Middle Distance Triathlon and so many top performance’s also 💪

Jamie Hill came 2nd overall, finishing with the fastest bike/run leg of the day 🥈

Matthew Lam battled illness and managed a very impressive 5th overall and 2nd in his age category 👊

We also had 2 JH Running Club relay teams consisting of Sarah Louise Louise Curtis Caroline Alice Chris John, there was swim PBs, lots of smiles and top performances. We even got a 3rd place 🥉

Ry Abel and Jody Higham was in the New Forest doing a 100 mile bike sportive 🚴

A massive GOOD LUCK to JH members this weekend. 💪

This weekend is the BUSTINSKIN EVENTS Weymouth Middle Distance Triathlon Festival 🏊🚴🏃 and we have a few members doing different distances.

Matthew Lam will be taking on the Classic (1.5km swim-40km bike-10k run) 🙌

Jamie Hill will using this event as preparation for the European Sprint Duathlon Championships by doing the Sprint (750 meter swim-20k bike-5k run) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We then have Sarah Louise doing the 1.9km swim leg as part of the JH relay team 🏊

Louise Curtis will be tackling the 90k bike 🚴

Then we have Caroline Alice & Chris John doing the 21km run as part of the JH relay teams🏃

So as we approach the summer months it’s a great chance to reflect on the start of year and all the achievements the members of JH Running Club 🙌

They’ve ticked off…5ks up to ultra marathons. We’ve had triathlons of a variety of distances. Had a fantastic C25K cohort. Also many other joining the team 👊

There’s been many inclusive group runs. Tailored training programmes. Many gait analyses. Countless gym sessions with Gym Geek. More and more track sessions. 👌

A massive WELL DONE to some of our members.

Firstly a massive congratulations to Louise Anna who has now fully qualified as an England Athletics Run Coach 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Also a big congratulations to Louise Curtis who put on a stellar performance at the RunThrough Eton Dorney Sprint Triathlon 👏

Then we had 2 teams at the Poole Runners Poole Relays yesterday. Everyone ran superbly. A mention to Joseph Puddick who got a 5km PB. Also to one of the teams consisting of Stuart Morris Daniel Dyer & Chris John who got 1st 🥇 team in the 40-59 Age Category 👊

So we have something very exciting starting soon….

It’s ’JH Juniors’…an Junior Athletics Club designed to help children between the ages of 7-14 learn and develop the fundamentals of athletics 🏅

What’s included.

- Each session is delivered by fully certified/licensed Athletics Assistants and Coaches 👨‍🏫👩‍🏫

- Each session runs in accordance to England Athletics guidance and practices 🫡

- The culture of each session will have a focus on ‘fun’, as well as teaching children the fundamentals of running, jumping and throwing 👊

- The session is delivered in a secure and safe location.

Time, Date & Locaton too be determined. But will hopefully be happening very soon.
