The first instructor we would like to introduce to you is
Bjorn Saw 5th Aïkido Live.

Aikido Alive's head teacher Bjorn Saw Sensei, 5 dan Aikikai, has one of the longest experience of Traditional Iwama Takemusu Aikido in the U.K. having begun his Aikido training in 1974 with Saito Sensei's then representative in Europe, Takeji Tomita Shihan (7 dan) at Takemusu Aikido Scandinavia in Stockholm, Sweden. Bjorn Sensei then spent two and half years training under the late Morihiro Saito Shihan (9 dan) in Iwama, Japan, between 1987 and 1993.

The Rising Sun Aïkido group is a martial club teaching Japanese self defence to adults. Regardless of you age, fitness level , experience or abilities, Aïkido is open to everyone. The club was established in 2001 and has welcomed many students over the years. Currently the club has an international feel with students from Sweden, Bulgaria, Ukraine and even Scotland. The club is friendly and frequently has social events outside the dojo. We train every Monday & Friday evenings 7-9pm at the Campus highlands lane WSM.
