Wednesday 29th was our Captains Day which was our official closing day. Last year it was an odd year this year has been a difficult year but all thanks to everyone we have come through it. The weather was very kind to us well done to all who collected their cups that they won in the Club Finals. Thank you ladies. For those playing indoors this coming season enjoy, for others who are not see you on the greens next season. Also remember to check what is happening re social events during the winnter season

Today The Captain's team played The President's team to compete for the Stella Ford Trophy. The match resulted in a win for the Captain 40-31. Following a delicious American tea President Elizabeth Williams presented the trophy to Captain Mary Hawkins. A successful raffle was held .

well what a busy weekend for Wessex Bowling Club on Friday evening they played in the Fear Cup against Street and came a very good 2nd 62 to 53 was so close at one stage finished at 9.30pm Then today we left the club at 9am to go to Illminster for the Southey Cup .again came a very good 2nd every one did incredibly well loosing by very few on a couple of the disaplines. Big well done to everyone onwaards and upwards

On a fine evening Wessex played Street in The Fear Cup. Supporters enjoyed watching a well fought game which could have gone either way with the last 3 nail biting ends but ending 53-62.
It was up early the next morning for 12 supporters and The Southey Trophy team to catch the coach to Ilminster. A loss was recorded but all praise goes to the players for the spirit in which the match was played with close results on a couple of disciplines.

Hi ladies
to day at 6.15 pm our Fear Cup Team are playing at Clarence Bowling against Street bowling Club we wish you well and as many of us as possible will be there to support you.It's a busy weekend for Wessex Bowling Club tomorrow Saturday 24th of July the team travel down to Ilminster to compete in the Southey cup .

Today was our President's Day. We couldn't celebrate in the usual manner so President Elizabeth Williams organised a Mini Drive for members. Twenty two Members enjoyed getting back together and playing a friendly game in the fresh air and sunshine.😎😄

On Sunday we had our open day combined with Clarence Bowling Club What a super day ,The sun was shining there were 72 combined members all 3 greens full a
Distanced as by the Bowls England rules but so good to see so many happy faces back to playing bowls roll on the rest of the season
